This.

If he could play at his top level consistently he would be a top 5 goalie in the league. Hopefully he can get hot when it matters again, like 2008 and 2009.

Karlsson smiles a lot, great kid, super talent.

Fleury has been pretty good this year, and this will be the highlight save of this year.

Always-smiling goofball getting robbed by another always-smiling goofball. How fitting

The confusion displayed by just two sentences was simply outstanding. haha

What an incredible save, no other way to describe it, the best I have seen this year.

A common way of forming opinions. Generally speaking.

On an unrelated note: People, welcome to the first ever dominantly positive Karlsson thread (he isn't the focus - that never seems to matter), a thread where the player doing something great was his opponent.

He is. My wife works at the Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa in the inner-city where he volunteers. He's a wicked guy - and has a general love of life.

Here's him selling java at a local coffee shop with proceeds going to the club.

Sportscenter made an all-time glove saves countdown in honour of Fleury's save.

A lot of great stops in that top 10, but there was some sort of heavy flood of grace in that entire play in the Fleury stop.

Number one.... it's kind of crazy to think that such an average goalie may have possession of the greatest save in hockey history.

Caron was like a perfect storm for amazing saves, no positioning or fundamentals to speak of, but incredible reflexes.

He had another ridiculous one against Montreal, where he got caught at the side of the net and made a diving stick save. I can't seem to track it down, though.

If that's not the save of the year right there I don't know what is. That was just ridiculous. Much, much better save than the ones that regularly gets called soty by commentators/writers.

I've lived in Ottawa for 30 years, and have still never found the inner city.

Ottawa has poor and homeless like any city, and they need support, but no "inner-city" to speak of.

Fleury with another impressive save last night, this time stopping Drew Stafford on a 2-on-1.

Yeah, I was also stumped by what he could have possibly meant.
