Savard is hardly a superstar, IMHO, and he's signed for several years so I doubt Boston is willing to move him.

Are you willing to give up a package consisting of say, Price, Higgins, and a 1st?

That might get some bites.

BTW congrats for the 2-0 win vs Brasil
If this were true, Koivu wouldn't look like ****.

I didnt say we have to give Price and Higgins to get a star. as far as the pick goes, id give it for a superstar.

You won't get a superstar signed for more than two months with just a pick. If you want a guy of this caliber who won't just walk at the end of the year, you need to offer more than that to convince a team to part with their prized player.

If it's a rental you're after, well, I'm sure Bob can try, but it's not like there's dozens of them on the market either.

Habs played a pretty decent game tonight. No need to panic. IMO the keys to tonights game:
1. Koivu's dumb penalty.
2. Markov, Perezhogin and Begin out of the line-up.
3. Murray and Downey in the line-up.

I'M FRICKING TIRED OF THE KOIVU PENALTIES!
Are you saying that Kovalev showed up tonight?? You must've been watching a replay when he had a good game!! Granted, he scored a goal(pure luck) but as far as I'm concerned he didn't break a sweat; I'm sure that when the game was over he didn't need a shower.
