Road trip of Destiny

Well every is going to be down on this team, reality is we are still not out of it. This raod trip will lead right to the trade deadline and solve it all. Can we all just wait untill it is over before we judge this team??

I admire your positive attitude and agree with you that they are not out of the playoff hunt yet and while they could go on a run to reverse their fortune the reality is that this team has shown absolutely zero signs that they are even capable of putting anything together that resembles a winning streak. They are a mediocre team and will finish accordingly in the standings, and that my friend is the reality.

Who says I am being opptimistic?? Reality is they arn't out of it, any one with any remote math backround can cruntch some numbers and see that it is far from over. I don't know what this team will do, I am down on them to. I am just saying lets wait and see. Lets just keep the 100 "trade all these bums" threads untill after the trip. Why start it now?? we will know it all when this trip is done. so let us all just wait and see.

Whoa did you even read my post? I don't recall ever saying the Oilers where out of it, I actually said they have a chance. But the reality is as it stands right now I don't believe they are a good enough team to get into the playoffs, and that's just realism. I also don't recall anyone in this thread ever saying 'trade all these bums,' thats of your own devices. If you don't want people to say that you should have posted that in the 'SELL, I don't like these bums' thread rather than starting a new one for nothing.

Also people might take you more serious if you knew how to spell, what are you 12?

The problem is that the Oilers have been facing these tough "must-win" games the the past 2 months now and have came up short in 80% of them.

In ALL seriousness, how can anyone honestly believe that NOW all of a sudden with the same coaching staff and the same players that the team will mesh and start winning.

Time to face reality - the Oilers are not going to make the playoffs this year. They have shown ABSOLUTLEY ZERO improvement in their game for the past 2 months. It is extremely foolish to believe that NOW they will start playing good hockey. They do not have a switch that will be flipped on for next game and will cause them to play passionate responsible hockey.

We have not played great on the road this season and on this road trip we play the likes of Ottawa, Buffalo, etc who are tough teams. I don't want to sound pessimistic but it doesn't look good right now for getting that playoff spot
