Sochi site has him at 6'4 and 230!) and insanely strong, and one of the better board players and power forwards I have seen in the world cup and olympic qualies.

He'll be at the Olympics.
Big intimidating presence in front of the net, likes to hit and will drop the gloves with every other player in the league when needed. Solid overall player who will get on the scoreboard as well but does nothing exceptionally well.

Thomas Raffl is more or less a Tye McGinn clone. But yeah, not bad at all.

I for one am happy the Flyers signed his brother Michael who is the more skilled of the two...

I wouldn't say more skilled, but they have different skill sets. Raffl's is the one we need the most.

Love Raffl, he's the new Thoresen.

Actually, no. There will never be a new Patrick Thoresen.
No one is Patrick Thoresen until you block a shot with your Men like he did and not even miss a week.

If this game is anything to go by, I'm surprised Hejda was left off the Czech Olympic team. I thought he played great.

I also hope Mason's going to be OK, and that he can just shake off that foot issue from late in the third. I don't know if it had any impact on why he gave up that goal, but he did look uneasy from then on.

Oh, and why was Streit covering the pointman on that 4-on-4? Is this a new strategy, to have defencemen as closest to the opposing goal? He's still awesome, so I won't hold it against him

Meh, regardless, a job well done by the Flyers, nothing to complain about, really.
