It's woe is me. Were you too busy in high school being popular and kissing girls to go to class? Stop being so awesome you loser!

I meant to do that. It was a subtle shot at the quality of journalism...or something...

K, I really enjoyed the opening ceremony. The Canadian team looked great in their opening outfits. Every Olympics has some issues and there are culture differences to deal with. Maybe they see plumbing issues, wild dogs and unfinished accomodations as a small glitch? What is the local media saying about the Sochi games? Whatever happens, if we get a pile of medals no one in Canada will care if a reporter has a door with no handle or a tp pail.

15 minutes until the Slopestyle semi-finals, 21 boarders in the semi-finals (2 Canadians), top 4 make it to the finals. There's already 8 boarders in the finals, 2 of them being Canadian, finals start at 1:45 in the morning

Mark McMorris makes it through. Dude is cool as a cucumber.

That asian guy on the panel needs to shut up. You don't say things like Canada could place 1, 2, and 3 in an event--just asking for the jinx.

Love CBC's Olympic music. CTV had the better presentation but the CBC music is classic.

Small country organizing the Olympics? Those days are gone. They take part in the race but they cannot win, not any more.

Run 1 wasn't kind on Canada, hoping for better things in Run 2.

But holy crap, Max Parrot was really damn close on that last one to holding on to nearly stick the landing there.

Austria should get together with Slovenia for a joint bid

A bronze. I couldn't tell when a run was better to be honest. I only knew that when they fell it was over for them.

Mark McMorris. Congrats. Broken ribs and all.

Congrats Mark McMorris!

Great debut for men's slopestyle. Some people won't like the judging (and I'm not saying it couldn't be improved on), but this is the direction snowboarding should be going imo. Creativity, technicality and style should have more value than whoever can huck the most rotations. That's how true progression of the sport is going to happen. Sage and Staale deserved 1-2 on the podium.

Now hopefully Danny Davis can pull of the upset and beat Shaun White in the men's half pipe.

Congrats to McMorris for his medal. I'm hoping this won't be like the London games though where we win a bunch of bronzes. No disrespect to the athletes who do win bronze, just a personal hope of mine.

Awesome to see a Regina kid medal in snowboarding, I was watching this at the bar but they shut it off after the first heat and things weren't looking good.

happy for McMorris , showed a lot of guts to pull it off with broken ribs. If he could of avoided that one little hand touch to the ground on his 2nd jump he could of got the gold.. but either way good run for him.

Those black Canadian jerseys make them look like Team USA, especially since Switzerland is wearing Canada's traditional white.

Yeah I don't like these uniforms.

Man that's embarrassing that we're only up 2-0. Out shot them 29-3 in one period.

Surprised the refs are letting them play it so rough.

These Swiss d-women are looking incredibly exhausted.

That 5th goal ...man people sure went flying to the net on that goal!

And man are the refs ever letting the ladies play the body.

It's been Switzerland throwing the body around most of the time and these are clearly body checks... maybe the refs have been told to be a little less strict?
