Bah. Simmonds so close to rewarding like a dozen people who picked him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Emery was the choice for this game even prior to the dehydration/cramping of Mason. Emery played at Calgary in December and if you go by career numbers, has a strong past 7-2-0-1 record and a GAA under 1.50.

Mez looking great... beaten 3 times in three plays and 2 turnovers in 3 shifts.

He just made more worse plays in 3 shifts than Gus made in 6 games. Fact.

I honestly blame Homer more than I do Berube for this Gus/Mez situation all year. The best to do a solid for Mez would have been shipping him out by now & not rotating with another player all year.

The thing about Gus vs. Mez is that 1. Gus is better than Mez and 2. Gus makes L. Schenn better.

attention NHL GMs this is Andrej Meszaros. Appearantly He is being showcased for a trade because not enough GMs have seen him enough to know that he ****ing sucks.
if you want him please send a roll of tape, a used game puck and a broken stick to the Flyers and you got yourself a defenseman.

Unlucky for Streit; the puck bounced on him just as he was setting up to shoot.

Mez good play #1:

Get to the dot first for an icing call.

Pencil him in until 2020.

I blame Berube more (not that Homer isn't responsible for the personnel), he should be trying to win and it's pretty clear that Gus gives the team the better chance to win other than that ~4 game streak when Mez was scoring. All these other reasons like showcasing and Olympics should all be extraneous to coaching the team and winning games.

People have a go at Schenns IQ...

and I agree to an extent when he has the puck on his stick.

ut he reads the game pretty well offensively without the puck... always knows where he should be for a chance.
