Wow.

I just read his player of the week write-up on the OHL website. This guy is insanely good. There is no way he can be in the OHL for two-and-a-half more years. 50 goals in 44 games as a 16-year-old? Holy smokes. I wish I lived in Oshawa.

Ouch. Poor Oshawa.

I'm sure we all want to see more of Tavares, though. Saw one game vs. St. Mike's last year, I think he had three assists, despite the fact that he didn't seem to be playing all that well.

It's exciting to think that he might become exponentially better for his two remaining OHL seasons, and that he might attract Crosby-like media buzz.

Exactly. Which would mean that if he stays healthy and has no other reasons to miss games, he will end up with 67 games played.

I didn't actually know they played 68 games so I went up to the schedule and counted the games they had left.

What a joke for you to say that. Nicholls scored 150 points in one freaking season and has like 1000 points or something. Tanti was a regualr 30-40 goal scorer for several years for the Canucks. Randy Cunneyworth was in the NHL for a long time and was a Captain of the Ottawa Sens. Ludzik and Shedden were around the NHL for awhile too.

6 players making the NHL out of 10 is quite high. And Larmer an Nicholls were stars and just below the level of HHOFers.

Donati had 6 point night to take over lead again

1. Donati 106
2. Taveras 103
3. Kane 101

Was flipping through the channels and saw poker on ESPN, some Fult-Tilt Poker tournament. At first I thought I was seeing things, but Daniel Negraneau was actually wearing an authentic Oshawa John Tavares jersey. Pretty cool. Come to think of it, I never saw any poker players wearing Crosby jerseys before

Daniel Negraneau has worn a Crosby Rimouski jersey on a televised poker show before.

Does Tavares play wing? The Pens could use a wing, and well, you just know that this kid is worth tanking for.

Tavares is a centre. However, we think he's good enough to play wing, too, and not miss a beat.
