Lately, this board as been quite depressing. As a rookie HF user, I'm not sure if Habs fans are supposed to be in this mood during this time of the year so I thought it was the time to bring some excitement with this team and its season by talking about our road to the playoffs and our potential 2014 playoffs run.
Believe me or not, I think we are a playoffs team. How do I know? Well just look at the teams below us in the standings and you will see that we are far from being bad, so there's a start. And if you think MT has lost his locker room, you're wrong!
Now, we gotta get out of this slump to be competitive once again and I have reasons to believe we're done slumping... You know how? Just remember the last minute of the last game against Winnipeg, when Gallagher took a beating (Not coming back on the incident). I didn't watch the game, I watched a YouTube clip though, but the last time a Habs-related thing frustrated me that much was back in the 2013 playoffs against Ottawa.
Not only I was frustrated, but just imagine how the players felt... seing the ref smiling at Gallagher coming back to the bench all fired up, ready to break anything, after an unfair no-call on a crucial timing. This team has lacked emotion since Chucky's gone and that sequence was all they needed, some emotion, players that care, and I'm sure they will answer in a convincing way tonight (04/02/14) against Galgary and hopefully it will be the start of a hot streak. May it continue after the Olympic break.
I could go on and on for hours... but I'll leave it at that. It's been weeks since we're getting ridiculed around the league and it's time to show some ****ing pride and give everything for AT LEAST 26 more games. This team isn't tanking, it will be a fun trade deadline as MB seems very active on the phone, he seems open about trading players for players to improve the team and fix its weaknesses.
