Blackhawks Shutout Canucks Tonight!

The Blackhawks just shutout the Canucks 3-0, with Lalime on net in his first game of the year!

Man, karma is a beautiful thing sometimes. Some of the Canucks fans were giddy like Catholic school girls when we lost to the Blackhawks yesterday, laughin' at us and talkin' how this would be an easy win for them tonight. I bet they didn't see this one comin'.

So now this makes a win tomorrow night against the Blue Jackets even more important, in order to give us a little bit of breathing room between us and the Canucks. The Flames better bring their game tomorrow night.

They played horribly today. It was reminiscent of their days with Bertuzzi and Naslund together. No effort in them.

At least the flames scored 2 . Its much better than getting shutout all together.

not really...

giving up a 2 goal lead with less then 3 mins too go is by far worse then being shutout...well in my opinion.

It sure does. It's just good news for us right now when it happens to other NW teams.

Call it what you want, but at least we walked away with a point and didn't get shutout by Lalime. And when you give a team two 5 on 3 PP's, it would have to be a pretty ****** team not to score. But hey, like you said, it happens. I'm just glad to see it happen to the Canucks. You know, the whole rivalry and hatred thing.

yeah, exactly.
just because ur facing the worst team in the nhl when ur the best never means it will always be a win.

anyways i dont want to start an argument so ill leave it at that.

Thanks

It wasn't that he played well. No point in even trying to justify the loss. The team was terrible tonight. It wasn't Lalime's doing.

Well thats where we disagree but hey i wasn't expecting much from Vancouvers offense.

I was p***ed about last nights loss but at least the canucks were shutout tonight. It makes lastnights loss a little less painful.

I was expecting a blowout, to be honest, and the Sedins to light up Lalime, given the roll they've been on and coming off a great performance last night. But I'm glad to hear it didn't happen.

There should be a raffle, if you win you get to play goal for a crap team and shutout the canucks =P

Well the canucks are on a roll definitely but they underestimated the blackhawks and were shutout . All in all it was a good night for the flames.

Neither team should of won tonight. The only goal scored on Luongo was from Bieksa...

Chicago is a really funny team. When they put there mind to it, they can be tough. Obviously, they put there mind to it tonight. As for yesterday, the zebras need to be credited with a big assist. I hate this NHL where the refs are so involved in determining outcomes.

the Hawks are a vastly improving bunch... their defense is actually pretty good... and in a few years will be great... considering they were facing one of the lowest scoring teams in the league... i cant say i'm shocked

No offence to Chicago but this was pretty much a contest to see who can play worse. Canucks had their chances to score but botched most of them.
