Players that can most benefit from the olympic break

I've been saying prust for sure. Physically, he just isn't right, and whether its ribs/abdomen/shoulder or a combination, some rest can't hurt.

Eller really needs it too IMO. But it has nothing to do with his physical status. His decision making on both sides of the ice has been bewildering at times, and he has shown to be better than this. A mental reset along with an injection of galchenyuk may be just what the doctor ordered.

On the flip side, i also pray that Douglas Murray does not lose his game over the break. He has done a complete transformation the last couple of weeks, and it would be too painful to see him go back to his original form.

I wish Markov stayed here. He needs some rest.

Agree. And yes, Prust needs a break for sure. And perfect timing for Chuckie and Bournival to heal up and come back for the final push.

Prust come to mind. But for me its gallagher. Not because hes been playing bad lately, nope hes been great. Its just that hes smaller then average and he keep getting pounded in front of the net. Such a warrior.

Well now that i think of it, every smurf will appreciate the break.

and gl to the russian if emelin is in the top 6 defense rofl.

Eller.

He seems completely lost and is playing with no coincidence at all.

gallagher, prust and eller IMO

with gallagher he just gets beat up every night he could use a break.
with prust he looks like he is playing with an injury the break could help.
with eller he is just playing not good this break will let him think and work on his game.

Gallagher: he may have many bruises
Gionta: old body
Gorges
Eller: psychological rest.
Galchenyuk, Bournival, Moen: injury

I don't agree with Prust. He had already some time off, and he didn't play a lot of minutes. Moreover, he's a tough guy. Physically, he should be fine.

Don't forget that other teams also have some players benefiting the pause too.

All of the Smurfs, they get pounded pretty good over the year, a two week break will help them to rest and heal up.

Most of the team will benefit from the time off. Especially the midgets.

Here's a tip : Eller is overrated by all Hab fans, and isn't really that special player people think he's going to be. Sorry to ruin the dream.

Our captain for sure. I would like to see players like Plekanec and Markov getting some rest but we can't have everything...

Will Beaulieu be returned to the Bulldogs - he could help them with their AHL playfoff drive for the next two weeks. Also, maybe give Bournival and Galchenyuk some ice time in Hamilton if they are feeling better.

I never said he is a "special" player. I can't speak for all habs fans and their expectations of eller, however, it should be pretty clear that he's a better hockey player than what he has exhibited in the last few weeks.
