Thanks for the vid. I kind of like Kovy's fighting style of rag dolling and wresting his opponents.

The visions of Kovy chewing out Avery then beating him up as a Devil made me smile.

Go to the Devils board, say that and wait for the responses. Many don't feel that way.
To the vid: Kovy is a monster.

Why is that? I don't wanna ruffle any feathers over there. Do they think they're better off without him?

I'm speaking purely from a hockey fan standpoint.

Just thrilling to watch....and not one to take any crap either.

With Dion Phaneuf was not a fight. Phaneuf just hugged Kovy like a Python hugs sacrifice and gives her breathe -)

Thanks for the comments, I did the video ... Ilya my favorite player. I'm still sorry that he was gone from the NHL. I do not blame him, but very sorry

Nice video!! Kovalchuk is still one of my favorite players in the game. I was fortunate to catch a few of his games in Atlanta. I'm looking forward to seeing him in Sochi

I really like this video! Thanks a lot!

Makes me wondering who might have teached him all the technique!

I think he does pretty well for a top wing sniper!

Kovie 6'3 230, fights a little out of his weight class. And I didn't really find any of the fights all that impressive, I guess manhandelling a young Schenn but even then...]

IDK I think it was mentioned that he didn't like the Devils system all that much. If he was with another NHL team I think he would still be in the NHL today.

Either way, I miss those 3 thrashers uni's with Kovy rocking the C. Kovy was king back then, 50 goals, fights, hits - he was so dominating. One of the greats of our time for sure, hell even Don Cherry liked Kovy.

I only wish now that Avery can move to the KHL so the fire can continue.

I enjoyed Kovy's time here in NJ. After spending some time under Jacque Lemaire, he learned to become a complete player.

Kovy liked being on the Devils. What he liked more was being back home in Russia, where his dollar went further.

As most people know, NJ isn't exactly a cost-effective state to live in by any stretch. Even moreso when you make bigger $$$, they & our beloved federal government get creative in the ways to grab more of it from you.
