Krog as the 2nd line center? Come on Renney, what are you thinking?

Talk about forcing yourself to roll 4 lines.

Looks alright, hopefully some chemistry will surface from somewhere within those lines. Not sure about putting Avery on the first line though...

btw, I agree, Krog shouldn't be on the second line

Another radical departure was Renney experimenting with Jagr and Shanahan on two different power play units, which you may remember from their philosophical showdown a few weeks before, both had said they were open to. In the new unit, Shanahan would be with Avery and Krog up front, while Karel Rachunek and…drumroll please….Matt Cullen would be at the point. As you know, Cullen had been a staple on the backline for Carolina last season, but has yet to be used there by Renney this year. Tomorrow, however, might be his time.
At least Renney is not keeping things the same and not letting the season drift away

that might be the WORST setup ive ever seen.

Leave it to Renney to come up with insane line combinations that wont work, then have to shift right back to the lineups from last game after 5 minutes.

Idiot.

Honestly, I can't do anything but laugh at the absuridty of all this. Who's freakin arse did Renney pull this one out of, Jason Krog's?

I'm sorry, you finally move Straka off t he 1st line LW and do you place him as the 2nd line C? Noooooo. you put him with the oofensivley challened Orts and the inconsitent at best Cullen on a third line...?

And one of the best offensive players in the game is saddled with Mr. AHL, Jason freakin Krog, who must now be the holder of the same pictures Marcel Hossa had last year? ANd I thought it could never get worse then Bill Berg, Tim Sweeney and Mike Keane playing with TGO....

We are in a world of ****, no doubt about it

Oh my god.

Krog a 2nd line center, Hossa still on the second line, and Prucha on the 4th,Straka has 24 goals and like 50 points but yet he is the 3rd line winger. this guy renney is a complete *******, should fire his ass already all this mixing and matching is killing any chemistry these guys need to play together one line regulary, all this switching is him panicing and saying in so many words I have no idea what im doing.. prucha has a bad game he is scratched or dropped to the 4th, et lazy ass worthless Hossa could never dop no wrong, what Renneys weird obsession with Hossa. Itis freaking me out.

i agree Larry.

my only hope is Renney is doing this intentionally to crash and burn this team to start a purge.

one can dream cant he?

because the other explanation, a complete and utter idiotic line combination is a bit disenchanting.

i would much rather see his floating and random lines from last game. i thought it was a fantastic strategy. this way lines always change, and you never give the enemy the same look twice in a row.

*shrugs*

Wow Hall has really played himself off the team, I wonder what the Rangers get can for him, maybe a ECHL player at this point. Maybe next we will see Jagr with Orr and Krog Watch Renney try it next if these dont work.

Jagr played with kip miller in pitsburgh and they clicked nicely. I think Jagr is fine w/ Krog and Hossa on his line..should be interesting.

If Renney does indeed put these lines out there and they dont work he can always shuffle things up like he did in NJ. Also Sam mentioned that he(Jagr) played on a line with a Krog and Hossa in NJ and got the tying goal, so who knows what can happen. Jagr also went on to say how him and Kip Miller played on a line and scored alot of goals, and his line mates before that were in the minors,so lets not jump out of the window untill there is a reason to. Just my $0.02

I understand Renneys thinking, but its still hard to swallow the idea of krog on the second line. Renney is trying to balance the offense and spread the scorers out, but like I said, Krog as second line center is really hard to justify, I'd rather see Betts there than Krog.

Inferno i agree with you 100%.

While i dont mind seeing avery on the top line (i am a fan of his), i do think that might be asking a lot of him. straka on the third? eh, dont think its great, but what really bugs me is that prucha is on the 4th. thats just idiotic. and has been all year.

at least they are trying to adjust the PP... cant be worse

I won't go that far, but I'd rather see Straka there than Krog, and I'm not a fan of Straka at center.

It would be hard to argue that Immonen is a downgrade on anybody other than Nylander right now.
