Ottawa, with a capital "C"

Just a fun fact: Last year, 3 nhl team captains were from Ottawa, 4 if you include the Gatineau area:

Detroit: Steve Yzerman
Chicago: Adrian Aucoin
Carolina : Rod Brind'amour
Buffalo: Daniel Briere

I was wondering, am I missing some, and who are other great captains from the Ottawa region?

Also, he was the Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club Curling Captain during 1998.

It's a tremendous sport.

Also, Barbara Ann Scott (born in Ottawa) won an Olympic gold medal in figure skating in 1948. This shows that we are very good skaters.

I don't think we can legitimately call Brind'Amour an Ottawa guy. My take on it is we can claim either Yzerman (born in BC but spent entire childhood in Ottawa) or Brind'Amour (born in Ottawa, but spent entire childhood in BC), but not both.

Really? As far as I'm concerned Hollywood can keep him.

I'd just like to point out that this thread makes no sense at all when one can't see the initial post.

That is all. Carry on.

Add Bob Hartley is from Hawkesbury.... I don't know if I call him a good coach but he's got a ring.

Jim Peplinski is from Renfrew
Terry Murray from Shawville.
