In case anyone has hard feelings about Alberts fighting with a visor, he usually doesn't wear one. He took a puck to the eye a week ago and swelled up really bad and needed stitches, so he has one on for the time being. He has been quoted as saying he's going to remove it soon, so that he may be eligible to fight. I didn't see the dirty hit, but I do give him credit for following through with the fight after what people are considering a questionable hit. He could have wimped out and kept his gloves on and made Walker look like an idiot.

Either way, I wish there were more Scott Walkers in the league.

Man, when Cole went down I think I held my breath for that entire 5 minutes.

Whitney's natural hatty was in a minute twenty seconds. Thats got to be a record.

Former Blackhawk Bill Mosienko holds the NHL record for scoring the quickest hat trick. He scored 3 goals in 21 seconds against the New York Rangers on March 23, 1952.

Any new transactions today or an indication how bad Cole's injury was.

I noticed before last night Cole had lost some PP Time.. anyone else notice that?

Nothing yet. I chalked up the lost PP time to the fact that he had to see some extended PK time with Rod and Willy in the box so much early. But I don't know.

Cole has been woefully ineffective on the point of the powerplay. Bad turnovers at the blueline, losing pucks he should have held, firing ill timed shots and things of that nature. Seidenberg and Kaberle contributed to the loss of icetime there.

Cole is always going to be a guy that makes his bones at even strength. That's just his style. Of his 30 goals last year, very few were PP goals.

I think they should utilize him more down in front of the net. At the very least I hope he is okay.

They even commented last night on how Cole was actually seeing PK time on the 4 minute PP we had to kill while Brindy was in the box. With that many minutes and shifts you have to give it to guys that aren't out of breath.
