Rams and Mammoth won last night, but the Nuggets lost. Ty Lawson left at the end of the first half with a broken rib and is doubtful for the next game against Indiana.

Von just needs to clean his act up for next season. If he's still having these off-field issues next season, I can see him being traded either at the deadline or in the off-season next year. It just isn't worth the headache no matter how good he is

They're saying Philips could get 8M a year. On one hand we really really need that dude but on the other we have so many holes to fill. That Wolfe injury just kills us.

I think if Elway had done the deal, Champ would have gone on IR to make room.

I like Phillips but 8 mill is crazy. We might be able to get an upgrade for 8 mill. Like stealing Michael Bennett from Seattle. He's already said he won't take a cut to stay there.

Anyone out there read that weird rumor that the Broncos are planning a uni change after the 2015 season. Rumor says Bowlen would let Nike have full reign on the re-design and Orange may not be the primary color...again.

Thought some Seahawks fan made that rumor up. If anything they are going to have a throwback year in 2015 is what I heard.

Really, hadn't heard that part.

In all honesty I'm surprised Nike hasn't talked the Broncos into an all Orange uniform...yet.

Just seeing the way the stadium just lights up in orange I find it very hard to believe they'll move away from that. It was Shanahan that didn't like orange. It's the Broncos identity. Yeah orange pants would be unfortunate. Supposedly the plan is to do a mid/late 60s throwback before the end of the decade.

No way on earth should Denver pay Phillips $8M. Wouldn't that make him a top 10 (or so) highest paid DE in football?

I haven't really been following the Nuggets but I see scores and headlines. Andre Miller went AWOL?

I don't think its AWOL. I think the team is just paying him to stay away.

So crazy with the injuries they've had too. The Nuggets just need a complete re-boot.

They should have honestly traded Miller when Karl left. He was clearly pro-Karl and the oldest guy on the team. You can't expect him to want to go through a rebuild, and you don't want a pro-Karl guy with dissent being the elder statesman of your squad. The Nuggets had this one coming.....

I guess the con argument is that he's under contract, should shut up and play, etc. etc. but if you're a class organization or treat guys well then you accomodate them in extreme/unordinary situations like this.

I just read a story where they said he was suspended for the two games and now its on him to come back. So strange...

Agreed.

The Nuggets need to sell now, and hope that they or NY tank for the rest of the season to get one of those top picks in the draft.

The team has too much money locked up with sub-par players. Outside of Lawson I don't think anyone is untouchable; though most teams probably won't go near them at their cap hits.

Tried listening to a KOA interview of Nuggets GM Tim Connelly and couldn't get through it. Sounded way too much like Sacco doublespeak to me.

Shannon Sharpe dumped off CBS pregame. I'm kinda glad - he was annoying as an analyst

Really? You thought HE was annoying despite the fact he sat next to that pompous ass Boomer Esiason all these years?

Judging by Marino and Alfred Williams everyone wants to kill Boomer.

Nuggets made two trades today. The quick and dirty is

going out: PG Andre Miller, SG Jordan Hamilton, 2016 2nd round pick
coming back: PG Aaron Brooks, C Jan Vesely (7 foot tall, 3.3 million dollar expiring contract, 23 years old)

So we now have at least one PG that will actually play, and back up Ty Lawson when he gets back. And we'll have more cap room next year because of this deal.

A good day overall. Addressed a gaping hole, moved a guy who didn't want to play here, got some more size, saved cap room, cleared some of the log jam at SF/SG (when everybody is healthy).

Vesely isn't a basketball player, he is a tall guy that gets paid for being tall.

Not going to lie, whenever I see a white center I think he is a bad. That was my first thought with Vesely, and it looks like it's true.

What are you talking about? This guy looks like he's going to be a brutal force in the paint.

If that look doesn't intimidate his opponents I don't know what will.
