Let the looney tunes begin. That was a hard head shot, but IMO a borderline penalty.

It should get a little out of control if the Thrashers can score here.

Kozlov scores....lets see what happens next.

I see that we're up by 3, but this defense could really use some work.

Poor Kari, he has to stop so many more shots than he should.

Penalty killing kills us. Diamond still even Col is having 2 or 3 guys at the front of the net

They don't have to stop skating if they are leading.

Looks like they think that this game is over.

edit: Fortunately Hossa didn't

Definitely will take this one. Well executed (ahem) first two periods.

Lehtonen, holy moly 45 saves... the guy deserves a medal today.... It also seems like MEtro has fit back well with Koz and Hoss, i'd say it is about time they started heating up.

Metro shouldve been kept with Hossa and Kozlov when he was first put with them, that's gonna be a great line if kept together.

Any update on Rucchin? It looks like we might need to make a trade more than ever, we don't have Krog sitting in the minors to replace him anymore.

Metro deserves a lot more minutes, I don't care which of the big 3 he's playing with.

His stats, considering who he's played with and his icetime, are outstanding. He's always hustling out there too.. I don't know why he keeps getting shoved back to the 4th line.

Metro's doing well with Hoslov, and Haydar's doing okay too (better than Slater). Boulton is better than Kapanen, imo...always has been this year.

The D looks solid, but Andy's looking really slow despite making some good plays. He's had a few good shots on net.

We're finally doing what I've been clamoring for.
1.) FORECHECK!!!
2.) No dump and chase
3.) Go behind the opponent's net so as to give it to our points. We're finally using the points again!

The most important thing is the forecheck - it's like the theory of playing for field position in football. Make it harder for them to break out, and you won't have to work as hard on defense. Before we were always collapsing. This started to change in the Buffalo game. It's a very good sign.
i totally agree on the forecheck...and hate the dump and chase! (because we tended not to chase LOL)

what a game!!! I got a little nervous in the last few minutes when it seemed like the might force OT but that EN was awesome...whew!

on to vancouver!!

^ Tough game coming up. The good thing is that we know Luongo fairly well.
