Brown basically sucked since raising the Cup.
He has completely fallen off the cliff.

I also feel significantly more dumb after watching nearly three hours of the german coverage.
It's always mindboggling to see how clueless you can be about something and still have a job in it.

That's why Oshie's my favorite player in the league! Big game player who can do everything; score, pass, hit, and play defense.

Can anyone find the close up pics of his pre-shot smirks?

Kane is having horrid year at shootout

For some reason his shootout game fell off cliff this year

Best to not put him in there honestly

Ah I still would have went with him, Pavelski's attempt wasn't exactly a great one.

I'm probably late to the conversation but came across this interesting topic:

My god are people actually complaining about the shootout being used in the Olympics? How long have you people watched hockey? Some of the most memorable moments in Olympic history have come from the shoot out.

Yeah, the shootout sucks, but from the whining you'd think this was a new thing. It is not. This didn't start because the NHL, its been there for a lot longer, since 92 if I recall, and its been perfectly fine for the players and other team members since then.

He clearly dislodged the net, should have been a goal but the horrible rule changes the result. Quick 'stole' the game.

It's not like Quick dislodged the net when the puck was in the air. It happens. It's a stupid ass rule though.

No he only dislodged it when his team were running around and couldn't clear the puck. The panic was there for the last 4 mins, he knew what he was doing to get a whistle (instead the puck went in).

Stupid rule, yes. Shouldn't have happened. He 'stole' it for the US. Lucky.

EDIT:
I'd like someone to dig up ALL the times (if they exist) of Quick dislodging the net, as Voynov says, from games.

Haha, I've seen Quick do it before. The one I really remember was when the Kings were trapped in their zone, puck comes around the boards behind the net, and Quick "accidentally" scoots into the post while tracking it, knocking it off.

A quick search in the internet shows that there are a few occasions where goals where overturned by a dislodged net with Quick in net. Whether or not they can be attributed to Quick or not I do not know.

I do seem to recall a few instances where he does it just to relieve pressure from the Kings, just as Beef said.

Hehe, as long as Bäckström scores alot of points I don't really care, we're already in the QFs anyway.

And it's 2-2! Karlsson with the bomb.

Just got done watching the US game. That was unbelievable. I've always been a fan of Oshie but I'm an even bigger fan now. IIRC from Burnside's article, one of the main reasons why Oshie was picked for the team was because of his shootout skills. Helluva game.

Not happy about that haha.

what a hockey game. definitely caught a break with the waived off goal.

did Quick do it on purpose? I say no

as a wise man once said(WWF fans pay attention)
