That's 11% as well, what's the average then?

A lot of Landy's goals and assists come from board play and slot positioning. He doesn't rush the ice like he did his rookie season or like Mack/Duchene do. I don't think his goals are flukey, they just aren't flashy. Fluke goals are the ones that bounce of skates/hop on the ice/take weird bounces of the boards...etc.

I'd love to see him bring the Viking mode out a bit more and see the in-close slappers that came with his rookie season and parts of this season. But I'm also super happy with how he's played and think his play is the most sustainable on the team currently....although Mack is making a case for himself as well.

Those are trick questions; the answer to each one is Raffi Torres.

Landeskog has been great and is (so far) the best player from his draft class. Solid all around and his offensive contributions have slipped under the radar this year in my opinion due to so much depth.

This. Instinctual hockey players have a sense of where the pucks gonna end up, or where it cold pop free. Landy's goals aren't flukey, they're the result of him reading the play so well, and going to the dirty areas.

Turn on mute, and watch the first 2 goals.

I know it's a Nathan MacKinnon highlight video, but it is a prime reel for showing Landeskog's tendency to throw a puck on the net to create scoring opportunities.

MacKinnon's hockey instincts are off the charts.. always going to the right place on the ice

My family enjoyed this story. Right up there with the Brett Hull "You can't talk to Mr. Sakic" story.

Ya i noticed Landy was very upset after the game. More than ive ever seen him, and more than most of his teammates.

Dutch might not make back home alive if Landy gets a hold of him!

I found the boxscore from that game. Amusing that several Avs were playing.

Hishon with two goals, and future Avs defenceman Simon Despres played for Canada too.

Amazing stat: Avs' captain Gabe Landeskog has 52 pts, only 8 on the PP this season.

Kinda amazing. He's great in 5vs5, but we should be use him better in powerplay situations. Just put him front of the net and let him work his magic.

He has come a long way since game 6 of the season when he had zero goals and people were getting worried.

Are we sure he's good in front of the net? He didn't really do anything when Sweden put him there in the Olympics. When he played there with us, he probably had more interference penalties than goals from that spot.

He's a good playmaker and has the offensive skills to play down low and along the half boards. I think him and Stastny have done a pretty good job down low with MacKinnon as the shooter in the slot, not sure why they haven't scored more.

I think Landeskog could do a job in front of the net, but his qualities comes to better use when he holds the puck.

Even stranger is that Parenteau has only 3 power play points this season in 49 games.

The problem with Avs PP is that some players get stuck in puck moving mode. EJ, Benoit and Landeskog being the main three who never seems to get to a spot where they shoot or create a shot for others.

The other players at least seem to have more of a purpose to their PP play.

I'm not really sure what we should do with Landeskog in that spot. He's a good passer but not good enough to run a PP and he doesn't have one of the better shots on the team. I'm not sure we would lose a lot by replacing Landeskog with McGinn on the PP, even if I'm not suggesting that switch.

Avs PP is 8th in the league and O'Reilly, Duchene, Stastny and MacKinnon does a good enough job so complaining about Landeskog is luxury problems.

Landeskog's 52 points also tie his career high (rookie season)...which he achieved in 82 games then vs. 60 games this year.

85% of @GabeLandeskog92 's points have come at even-strength......highest percentage of any player in top 75 in scoring. @Avalanche

Was looking at the LW's around the league and wondering if Landy was the best LW in the league. Honestly, he's close.
