I think Slovenian Ds are just that much better. Austrian Ds are a bunch of pylons, almost all of them. They are objectively terrible.

I think they would be solid, they would probably be top 6 and knocking on the door for the qualification bye. Not as deep on D but a good top pairing and they would have an all NHL-capable forward corps and NHL starting goaltending.

Looks like the GS round 2 is delayed for snowy weather so maybe your TV won't have to decide between Maze and hockey.

If Slovenia manages to get into the QF, which it looks like it can do, is a damn impressive feat considering the small pool of players they have at their disposal.

Come on men, be serious. If your team losses against slovenia, then hockey in Sweden should be disbanded forever.

I can imagine the entire town of Jesenice having gathered in front of a tv, watching the game. Impressive.

Congrats to Slovenia on what is looking like a likely Top 8 finish! Much better than anyone could have ever expected. Here's to a crazy upset against the Swedes.

As for the Austrians, I suggest you go re-conquer Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia to form a powerhouse Team Austria-Hungaria Empire.

I think wikipedia explains everything quite well, including an audio sample

I'd love to see them medal. Not gold, obviously but that would be huge. It's been a while since there has been a good underdog story.

Are you living in stone age ? Yugoslavia doesn't exist anymore. And I think austrians would do better with better coach.
