Preds claim Yablonski from the Blues

http://nashvillepredators.com/pressb...p?item_id=4484

assigned to Milwaukee.

Kind of a weird move, considering they have Raitis Ivanans, who is good for nothing but fighting. Maybe Milwaukee wants to play old-time hockey like its big brother?

two teams fighting over a play-off birth.. Gotta think this is Nashville just jabbing at St. Louis.. They dont him, but it stops STL from calling him up to "send a message" in various rough and tumble games.

What's going on with the Blues?

Isn't this the second guy they waived?

Are they trying to create roster spots for possible trades?

No, no, they just picked Rheaume off waivers. This move was probably to make room for him.

But Cliff hates everyone, so I dunno if Jeremy is really the more ill-tempered one.

This move sucks from a Blues point of view because Yablonski is good enough to be a solid NHL enforcer. Best of luck to him in Nashville.

I would love to get Brookbank back. He's one of the best young fighters in the game right now.

Yes he can fight, but he is a complete and total liability on the ice c-carp. I would much rather have Low.

It didnt look like that to me in camp and the game that he played in. To me in camp he skated as well as Low. I guess it came down to keeping him or McLarem when They needed to release someone and I think they should have kept Yabo.

If you are talking about Mclaren, Yablonski and Low, I would have to say that it is very close betwen McLaren and Yablonski but they are both better scrappers than Low. That isnt knocking Low who does a fine job also. McLaren and Yablonski bith have better punching power.

IMO Mclaren is probably the best fighter outside of the NHL right now.

He looked very good in his short stint with the Blues.

OK, I'm not the only one... my eyes scanned the name then saw "Blues" and had a flashback to about 10 years ago...

It's sad to see him go, but does it really matter? Low and Stone Cold are enough for me.

My question is why not waive Steve Martins instead?

Because you'd lose out on precious one-liners like,

"Hey...it's 'The Jerk' !!"
