Linus Videll missing in action

Linus has been sitting on 19 games with the J20s for ages now and he was also sitting at 9 games with the elites (sitting on the bench).

Does anyone know if he's injured or is playing in a tournament?

Thanks.

I don't think there's a tournament going on.

Must be injured.

there has been a long break in the U20-league which is the reason he hasn't played for a long while. I believe the league starts anyday now though.

He is not good enough to play for SSK's senior team right now.

Linus Videll has played the last games as left wing on the 4th line together with Erik Norbäck and Jonathan Ericsson (right wing!). They all worked their butt off the last two home games versus Färjestad and Västra Frölunda, Linus went scoreless from the games but he made some spectacular moves against Frölunda. No way in hell that he won´t play for the senior team the rest of the season after his display this week.
This kid is GOOD!

And he did actually play those first 9 games, at least the home games. He didn´t receive as much ice time as he did yesterday, but still.

Kronblom,
Great to hear Videll has been doing well lately, he has for sure been putting up pretty impressive numbers in the junior league.

What's up with Red Wings draftee Jonathan Ericsson?
He is playing forward with the senior team but is still playing D with the junior team. Do you think it is a temporarily solution, him playing forward with SSK?

I don´t know, he´s actually playing better as forward. There´s no room for errors when you play defense and Jonathan has been a bit sloppy, taking to many risks (typ slå tunnlar 3 m från eget mål) when playing defenseman.

I wonder which position he prefers, but at least he get´s to play regularly now.

Here´s Jonathan playing defense with Anders Back.

Back + Ericsson. There´s a combination you don´t want in front of your own goal

You´re darn right about that, luckily we don´t get to see them together on the ice anymore...

Jonathan Ericssons goal today was really nice work. The whole display from when he fore-checked in offensive zone, getting the puck back to a team-mate and then scored. Really good action.

Word. I believe that Anders Back won't be playing in Södertälje next season or at least I hope so. I'm not especielly ipressed by Berggren either all though I think he can grow out to become a much better player than Back.

Anders Back signed a 2-year contract with SSK last year, and I imagine they don´t move him to another team. I actually think Johan Bergren will turn out to be a good defenseman in Sweden, but the NHL seems a bit far-fetched at this point.

Yes so it seems. By the way, I think that Jonathan Ericsson is and will be a better player than Berggren.
