No I don't.

Besides, as long as it doesn't have lasting effects beyond this season, whatevs. I think it would be in their best interest to lose the rest of the way anyways.

Canada has been underwhelming so far, but they can come together at any time. They're going to beat pretty much anybody when they're firing on all cylinders. USA has had good chemistry right from the start, and they're getting better every game. Should be a real close game.

Oh no. If the USA moves on they will likely face... Sweden.

Great. Not only in this hypothetical scenario would the USA have the challenge of facing Lundqvist, I'd have to root against him too. The thought makes me sick.

With all due respect to Finland, Sweden is just a better team. I'd be shocked if Sweden lost.

That's the thing. The Canada team still has upside.

I mean think it should be an even contest but there's no denying the latent firepower on Canada's roster.

They're inconsistent playing as a cohesive group.

Finland somehow came together like they've been playing with each other for all their lives.

I think Henrik will need to stand very tall. It'll be a very close game either way, IMO.

US and Finland have chemistry on their side. Canada and Sweden have raw talent on their side.

These games can go either way.

If USA is playing against Sweden for the gold medal, I hope they put 5 behind Lundqvist. I want the gold.

Sure it would be nice if he played well but hes on the other team now. Hes got his gold already. He needs some silver for his trophy room.

Get ready for about 10 blocked shots between Callahan and McDonagh.

Facing Weber makes me want to puke.

Yeah--I looked him up. The Czech goalie Salak who is 27 and the Norwegian goalie Haugen who is 26 have never been drafted. The Latvian d-man Freibergs is playing for Bowling Green St. U--a college free agent. Tollefsen the Norwegian d-man is 29 and last played for the Flyers who may still own his rights. He stirs up a lot of ****. The Slovenian forward Ziga Jeglic is 25 with decent size and some scoring touch. Two other Slovenian forwards Jan Urbas (who is 24 and 6-4 200+) and Robert Sabolic are both 24 and did well. The Finn Komarov I like--but his NHL rights are probably still owned.

It's gonna come down to Price vs. Quick.

I don't think either team is much more talented or physical than the other.

Also, major props to the Finns. Tuuka is playing really well and they're a fun team to watch. If US doesn't win, I wouldn't mind a Teemu gold.

I think Canada will outplay the United States. I give our odds at winning about 30%. The US has been so good, and Canada so decent, I feel like it's bound to be a role reversal.

Not that these things follow concrete rock paper scissors formulas, but Canada did beat the Fins who beat the Russians that gave the US so much trouble.

Finland and Sweden will be about penalties and which star goaltender plays better.

I know i feel the same way about the arcs of each team. Its gonna be a tough game for USA to win. I think they need to get on the board early to keep their scoring going...

Disagree, I'd rather face Sweden right now. Finland, despite losing 4 of their best centers, is still winning games.

If there is one team that the Canadian players don't want to lose it's the United States. Just can't see them not coming out with their best effort.

Please tell me the US-Canada game is Saturday.

A certain ex-mayor with a lot of money and knack for punctuality is sitting 15 feet away from me this week and I can't even get up to go to the bathroom, let alone try to find a way to watch this.

This. Canada is going to come out and have their best game of the Olympics on Friday. I'm very nervous.

At the same time, you know the same is true for the Americans. Most of these players were in that 2010 finals. They remember it. And the ones who weren't know full well what's at stake. This is evening the score time.

We all wanted to see this game; just, in a later round. It'll be so emotional, it's tough to see either team winning afterwards

I think the US looked like the best team in the 2002 Olympics, but eventually lost. It's a one game elimination. Best team doesn't always win.
