For one thing, he picked the wrong NHL team to sign for. A guy like him would never, ever fit in a Trotz system.

Talent was borderline. He was too small to play in the AHL. He held onto the puck for too long and he got dinged a few times. He will have a better career in Europe.

Milwaukee signed Hannu Toivonen to a second PTO. Scott Darling was called up from Cincinnati. Pekka Rinne practiced with Nashville this morning.

As the Admirals Roundtable pointed out, that makes 7 goalies between Nashville and Milwaukee.

Do you think that Mazanec or another goalie is going to be traded?

How about Salomäki? Is there nhl-future for him, or is he a ahl-grinder.

Mazanec is healthy and can play tomorrow night. Toivonen was released from his PTO, giving Milwaukee 2 healthy goalies with Darling. Pekka is still expected.

I see the NHL in Salomaki's future. Perhaps next season.

Salomaki has 12 G 22 A in 52 G. A .65 point a game average is not a grinder!

He is second on the team in scoring.

This is turning into one of the most disappointing seasons for the Ads that I can remember.

Five losses in a row, 4 at home. Pekka is coming. Maybe he can close the door on the goals. Milwaukee (Mazanec) gave up 5 to Grand Rapids tonight.

Are they playing FF at wing or center with the Ads?

Edit: Just checked some boxscores, looks like the wing. Despite that, how's he looked for those who've been able?

Darling and Budish to Cincinnati, per MKE's Twitter feed.

Hopefully the ice time is good for Budish. Seems like he has a long way to go.

One of the Swedish posters here said he hasn't played center since he was like 15. I don't see him moving to center, ever.

Yeah I heard there's this new goalie who's making his first start in Milwaukee. Heard he might be good. Can the Ads fans tells us if he's good enough to make the club?

What a game tonight. Pekka looked good, though he didn't have much work to do. Amazing offensive performance. After scoring 4 goals total in their last 4 games, they exploded for 4 in the 1st and 2nd period and won easily 9-1.

Milwaukee tied its high for the season with 4 goals in a period. Then they scored 4 more in the second period. They added one goal in a chippy third period. The previous high goal total this season was 6. I thought that the Admirals would make it to 10 goals tonight after the first 4 goals in 17 minutes. I was surprised by the lack of a line brawl, but there were 5 fights in the game.

Milwaukee scored 2 PPGs thanks to the goonery by three Iowa Wild players, Baldwin, Medvec and Bulmer. The Ads have lost only one time to Iowa this season in 7 games. There are 3 series games remaining, with 2 in Milwaukee.

Yes, he was good enough to play for Milwaukee. I think he should stay here.

Pekka Rinne was a little rusty tonight, but solid in net. He should have recorded a shut out on 17 shots. The previous team low was 23 shots in 50+ games. Pekka will be in goal on Sunday afternoon against Rochester.

RW, although I have seen him play some LW. He has good speed, but could use a little more strength. Teams stop him by bumping him off of his skates. When he can take the bumps, he will be a beast on the ice. He sometimes makes dumb plays. He needs to reduce those.

I think some of the more pessimistic would agree with you.

I would love to see him get tested w/ Rochester.

I will be there. I will report on the game in this thread. However, the Amerks got pounded by Chicago 6-2 last night. They may not be a good test for Pekka. Rockford comes to town on Friday March 7. They are 8-0-1-1 in their last 10 games. Rockford has the #6 spot, Rochester the #7 and Milwaukee the #8 at the moment.

Again not even 20 shots on Rinne and the third period is nearly done.
At least with OT there will be a couple more shots.

So judging by the post game highlights I don't think Pekka is a threat on the disc golf course.
