Woooo!!!

Disappointing to win a game on the powerplay.

But still, one for the ages. An improbable victory!

Let's be honest though, reffing was terribad today, for BOTH sides.

Wickenheiser wasn't even touched on the breakaway.

And that slashing call on Lamoreux? LOL.

Looks like it, the Female Jordan Eberle. The Tying goal and the GWG, just wow.

The reffing in the OT was a ****show. The Americans have every right to be chapped about losing on a powerplay on those two calls. It honestly puts a bit of a damper on a classic game. It will always be remembered that the refs took front and center at the biggest moment.

The slashing call was a joke, no doubt. But Knight got her skates tied up in Wickenheiser when she fell. Took her out. The only bad thing about that call was that it wasn't a penalty shot.

Oh yeah, I remember, as just an 18 years old. She'll be one of the leaders for Women's Hockey in Canada for the next decade, imo.

Also, this is Haley Wickenheiser's last game ever; she deserves all the credit, awards and accolades she gets. Amazing Career, Women's Hockey's Gordie Howe.

If she's not in the HHOF already, they should wave the 3 year waiting period, I'm serious.

Kinda makes up for soccer in London though.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure Dineen just apologized to the US coach during handshakes about the reffing.

Shannon Szabados was huge at the start of the OT. Two incredible saves.

Not sure. I didn't see any contact with Wickenheiser on the replays.

So it's a coincidence that Knight falls and Wickenheiser falls a split second later? On a breakaway?

The American's leg clipped her lower leg and tripped her.

But yeah, let them ****ing play in OT.

US women shouldn't have blown a 2 goal lead with 3 1/2 mins to play though. Tough to blame anyone but themselves for losing this.

Paul Henderson?

Not to downplay Eberle, but comparing goals in World Juniors to this is ridiculous.

Henderson, Sittler, Lemieux, Crosby...and now Poulin.

As penalties aren't reviewable, I think the ref had to make a call there. It should have been a penalty shot then, no doubt, but in the course of the game, every single person saw Wickenheiser get interfered with.

If this was the NFL, they'd video review everything and we wouldn't have the PP, but that's not the way hockey works.

I might have to rewatch the replays then. I didn't see any contact the first times around.

First thing I thought of.

Yeah, I didn't see any contact on Wickenheiser. It honestly looked like she just tripped over her own feet. In fairness to the ref, it's pretty hard not to make that call based on how it looked at full speed, but on replay it really looks like a terrible call.
