Which team USA member(s) would you love to see the Preds trade for or sign in free agency?

Wheeler and Callahan are the only two that are possible so I'll go with them. I would like Parise and Kessel though..

My office computer has msn.com as it's home page. This morning, right on the front, has an article praising Poile for the US team. It ends up linking to FOX Sports:

Show of hands, who thinks/believes Pekka would start over Rask for Finland against Russia, if healthy?

It's being reported he had another "exploratory" surgery at Vanderbilt in the past few days and is wearing an eye patch. He's had a rough time after catching the bad end of a Weber pass. Maybe the boys in Sochi will give him some relief with a few more wins.

Supposed to be back at work soon. I hope Fenton has a book worth of proposals on his desk when he returns to the office.

What would a Weber hat trick look like? Goal, broken bone, and a ...?? Fight maybe.

Either face to the glass or a puck to the GM's face?

Let's hope he continues to have his shots on net like that when he's wearing gold.

That was a rocket, though.

Its too bad that was a powerplay goal, which we all know doesn't count in real life. Only even strength production matters, dontcha know ....

Weber is proving again that he is the best defenseman in the NHL.

All that talent on Team Canada at forward and their defensemen(Doughty) is the leading goal scorer on the team.

Huge game today. Weber playing for the enemy and Suter playing for the heroes.

I'm extremely conflicted for this very reason. Once the puck drops I'll try to ignore Suter as much as possible and pull for the boys south of the border. My dislike for Crosby is as strong as my dislike for Suter that helps too.

If the US loses this game, is it a confirmation that Poile can build a good team, but not a championship team?

If they come back and win, is it confirmation that Poile CAN build a championship team and will everyone on the boards immediately begin singing his praises?

No?

Well then I guess you have your answer.

Canada was just better. They had the puck for most of the game and defensively did a great job. Quick kept the US in the game but they really didn't have a whole lot of chances after the 1st period.

No, 30+ years in the NHL is enough confirmation.

As for the US roster, a monkey could've picked it. Some monkeys would have selected guys like B Ryan and Yandle, but most monkeys would've picked 90% of the same roster.

Dean Lombardi was right when he said we need goals (referring to B Ryan). Not saying Ryan or Yandle would've changed that today, but they certainly would've had a better chance over the "safe picks" like Brown.

Looked eerily like a Nashville Predators playoff game.

Canada just a superior team in every area of the ice, and a Bobby Ryan or Keith Yandle wouldn't have changed it. Superior talent, but they were superior tactically today as well.
