Hi,
not sure this is the best place to have an answer, but I'm sure some one here can help me.
Few weeks ago, my grand mother died. While we were cleaning her place, we found a old stack of photos. While I was having fun looking at them I notice that one of them was sign. I was very suprise to see that it wasn't sign by someone in my family, but... Toe Blake! Now, the photo is in good shape and the signature is very clean. The corner are a bit bent, but other wise I would say it in great shape.
It might be worth some money but unfortunately, the advent of the internet and eBay has really diluted the market and reduced the value of collectibles.
Because of the large amount of fake autogaphs these days, most buyers need some sort of cetificate of authenticity but seing as this is an antique signatue, what you should do is have it looked at by a specialist. This would get you the certificate and tell you how much it is worth.

I'm an autograph collecter myself...
Well...I don't think it's worth very much, so I'll take it off your hands.
No seriously, Habs13 is right, without a certificate of authenticity, you will never know the true value of the picture.
Thanks!
Anyone know where I can get it autentified in Ottawa?
That is the hard part. You'll need to find a sports specialist... somebody that is able to check the autograph for signs of being fake. I'm pretty sure it is real though, seing as it came from you Gandmother but to sell it, you'll need this.
Maybe ty looking online for a sports specialist? Maybe try contacting the graders at Beckett hockey! www.beckett.com
Thanks!

I'm not sure where in Ottawa, but I would google sport memorabilia stores in your area. When you find one, give them a call and they may be able to help you. My recommendation though would not be to sell to one of these stores, as they will never give you the true value of the picture.
Does somebody know how to get a certificate of authenticity? Because I would really like to get my Crosby autograph picture and my MAF signed cap "official".

Again, try Beckett hockey... I gave the url above. Most specialists will only deal in antique autographs though.
I don't know how much it can worth, but, my uncle was working at Le Mas des Oilivers, he was head-waiter, so a I got a lot of autograph on the Menu of the restaurant..
Alain Prost, Patrick Roy, Serge Savard, Gary Carter, Denzel Washington, a baseball player then I can't read correctly his name Florida Marlins #9 may be like 9-10 years ago, Rusty Staub, Michael Rooker and some other...
I don't know if that worth something... Or if someone want them, its worthless to me. Anyone would be crazy enough to buy those autograph on ebay ?

Put it on Ebay...you never know, people will spend money on anything.
A nice signed picture of Toe would fetch around $20-25. To "authenticate " it, check other signatures of Toe on Ebay and see how it compares. Don't forget to search "completed" items as well.
