Mark Katic played good in his replacement, i don't think Parent's injury is too bad, great game all in all, man does stamkos look like a player out there... nice to see a few records broken congrats to Sam Gagner for tieing the modern day record of 5 points in an all-star game with 5, and Ryan Wilson for setting a new +/- record with a -8 in the game.

Parent's injury is just a nagging one. There's two big games coming up against London and Kitchener tomorrow and the next day so he just wanted to rest up for those. Doughty took it pretty easy out there for the same reason, I imagine. No rushes or anything interesting from him at all, he's usually a very dynamic player.

I found the game to be incredibly boring.

Maybe next time, they'll invite a couple of defensemen!

Do any developmental leagues teach that anymore?

So basically, no different than any other all star game in any other sport?

I agree , it was a snooze-fest with plenty of butt kissing by the commentators. I'd hate to be a D or goalie in that game.
Anyone remember back when Jonvanowski hammered someone in the All-Star game.
That was exciting. But seriously they want none to get hurt so thats the way it is going to be.

it does suck to see injuries in all-star games, and obviously even lowering the physical factor didn't do anything because Trevor Cann was injured, thats the worst place to see a player get hurt.

Ryan Parent was actually hurt had as said above he only played 1 shift and had to leave and that was against london a big game hes really hurt and he didnt even play against Kitchner the next night. The team is a young one and they have their games and they have their bad ones, i dont believe that Parents not playing is why the team is doing good right now but i do believe that Doughty is a better player then Parent but i also believe that Parent has helped this team on and off the ice, especially off, but thats my opinion. all star game was pretty boring but the skills was pretty exciting

yeah i was at the skills compition. It was alot of fun! It would've been nice it Ryan Parent would have been able to be there but with his back injury(which he is still out for and will most likely be out for another week or so). It was still a blast especially the 3 on 3! it was exciting.
