No thanks.
To be fair its not like SEL/SHL has produced a lot of goal scorers since Hornqvist, who is pretty one dimensional.

7 goals in his last 8 games I believe.

He's really be turning it on the 2nd half of the season. Still lot of potential in this kid.

I never liked him right from when he was drafted, but he's proved me wrong with his play in the SEL and the with the way he has began to learn the pro game at the AHL level now.

Im a fan of his now and I could see him landing a spot with the Canucks next season. But even if he doesnt, no worries. Another year of development in the AHL wouldnt hurt him at all.

I think Torts said they will be calling 2 or 3 players up from Utica coming out of the Olympic break so maybe he will get a callup.

I wouldn't mind him stay the year in the AHL then really push for a spot next year though.

My guess would be Pascal Pelletier and Kent Huskins

He's looked fine to me, playing a solid two-way game to go along with his scoring...the only thing is he could try to find his linemates more

Agree. Needs to see the play quicker and show more vision. Not beating others with his thinking. I think this will come but it needs to be more developed. Compete level and confidence has increased throughout the year.

Nice to see Jensen finding his scoring touch down in Utica. Wouldn't mind if they just kept him down there to keep his confidence growing.

Seems like a while ago he was drafted, but it was only 2011. Top 3 picks were RNH (#1C), Landeskog (Avs Captain), Huberdeau (Sophomore slumping). Other than that, looks like a good class of guys who are taking time to hone their skills patiently (Larsson, Strome, Zibanejad, Scheifele, D. Hamilton, Baertschi, Klefbom, Jurco). Sort of does seem like a long time ago these guys were drafted, but they're turning corners.

Scored his first NHL goal tonight with a nice wrist shot on Halak.

That snipe was beautiful! that's what I have been waiting for I hope he can pick up some more points so he can go down with confidence in Utica and rip it up there.

If only the Canucks had a crystal ball, because they were the only team to pass on Jenner...oh wait...

I love when people say things like that, Jenner was taken 37th overall. There were some much worse picks than Jensen in the 1st round, and even some teams in the 2nd round passed on Jenner as well.

29 other teams should have drafted Shea Weber earlier than 49th overall.

Hell, make it 30. Nashville should have drafted him sooner as well.

Nice to see Jensen having a strong start to this stint. If he can stay up for the rest of the season and pick up a few more points it would cap off a successful year for him.

You can say the same thing about roughly 99% of all draft picks.

There's almost always going to better players taken after your pick, you can't worry about it too much. All that matter is if Jensen works out for us. Saying he had a rough start to the AHL would be a massive understatement but he seems to have found his scoring touch down there and his strong play has translated somewhat to the NHL. Really flourishes while playing with quality players, as he tries to do it all himself if he's not playing with good linemates.

The kid can snipe. He's got a bunch of things to work on, like every young pro player, but one thing that will help him along the the way immensely is the fact that he's got a very nice shot.
