Besides the NY Rangers?

Wolfpack, USA Hockey National Team, Manchester United F.C, Rep.Ireland Soccer team & NY Mets.

I use to hate watching other hockey teams play a few years ago..usually because every other game I watched there was some young Ranger we had traded that turned into a star or a good player....

Amonte in Chicago
Zubov in Pitts/Dallas
Weight with the Oil
Norstrom in LA
Kovy with Pitts

I can keep going and going... :-(

Best logo/Jersey in hockey.

I like:

Hawks: Always liked the original 6 matchups with the Rangers, always had players I admired - Mikita, Savard, Doug Wilson, Larmer, Dirk Graham, Roenick, Ruutuu.

San Jose: Always liked the original teal jerseys And players like Larionov, Ricci, Irbe, Marleau, Bernier, Michalek, Hannan.

Ottawa: Another team blessed with good young talent. Love Heatley, one of my favorites nowadays. Neil & Mcgrattan make this team fun as well.

Edmonton: Always have some good looking youngsters with speed and the western games never disappoint, always tough fought games.

Now I really like LA...Kopitar is a stud (if you have never seen him, YOU SHOULD) and the rest of their youngsters are very underrated...Cammalleri, Frolov, O'sullivan, Tukonen, Boyle, etc. I think they will be a top team in 2-4 years.

I liked Deadmarsh on LA more.

Nice answers so far guys. Perhaps I should expand the discussion to what other teams in OTHER sports do you follow?
Keep it coming, it's always interesting to hear this sort of thing. I hope the mods don't mind this OT thread...

Although I used to hate them, I've started rooting for STL b/c of JD.

Other teams that I like to root for are:
Edmonton, Phoenix (gretz), Nashville

Binghamton Senators, and through them, Ottawa.

Until very recently, I would have said the Sabres, but....
* Can't stand the Buffa-Slug
* Sick and tired of having Rangers games blacked out (more than 4 hours away from Buffalo)
* The sheer wretchedness of the Sabres' broadcasting team makes me want to root against them

I like the Leafs, Oilers, Canucks, Sharks a little. Not with any passion really, unless the Rangers are out of it. Really enjoyed the Oilers playoff run last year, and would root hard for the Leafs if we don't make it.

Mets and Jets for other sports.

In the NHL, my no. 2 team is definitely Montreal and I always root for the Oilers. I quite like the Hawks, too.

Each season, I have other teams I root for based on how they play, and this season it's definitely the Ducks. Most fun team in the NHL to watch.

Outside the NHL, the teams that have my heart are Watford FC (come on you 'orns!), TPS (both for hockey and soccer) and the NY Football Giants; Collingwood are my favourite Aussie Rules team, but in that sport, I'll generally just root for a good match.

Rick Jeanerette is the man.

"Ryaaaannnnnnnn Millerrrrrrrrr, what a saaaaaaaaaaaaaaveeeeeee!"

"Paulllllll Gaustad, the Goose Is On The Loose!"

In terms of pure shock/entertainment value, he's the best around, since Mike Lange was fired from FSN Pittsburgh and went to radio.

NHL: Maple Leafs; I just loved Toronto when I stayed there, but my priorities are still clear!

Other than that: Soccer: German Bundesliga: Bayern Munich, Mainz 05

Outside of hockey I'm not all that into other sports, but I follow the NY Giants (and think Manning was a big mistake who is never going to realize whatever potential everyone thought he had) and the Bosox.

Sorry dude, but Rick Jeanerette may be the worst broadcaster in hockey. I hate him, he is so annoying.
