Is this a troll attempt? That is a piss poor trade for us. How about this instead? Eberle and our 1st for Johansen and Murray. Yeah you don't like that either do you?

Both of these are some of the worst trades I've seen. Can't believe we add to Eberle for Reilly and Franson

Islands need to add majorly to Reinhart to get Yakupov too btw.

Actually to be honest in terms of value that probably isn't too bad assuming our pick is top 3 (Columbus would still decline though). We could add a little.

Ekblad/Reinhart/Bennett = Murray
johansen(mostly because he plays center) >= Eberle

Just my opinion

I think a Gagner Henrique swap could work well for both teams. Reunite him with Hall and hope they regain their chemistry.

Hall-Henrique-Yakupov Perron-RNH-Eberle

Hall has spent just as much time with both Gagner and Nuge as his center as he did with Henrique in the 2 years they were linemates in Windsor. What makes you think he has any more chemistry with Henrique than he does with the guys we already have?

The main thing is getting a two-way, 2nd line centre that wouldn't cost much in terms of assets. Him having experience and chemistry with Hall is a major asset in terms of him being a fit on our team. The hopes of this trade would be we acquire him now for what he is (borderline 2nd/3rd line center), in hopes of what he could become on our team (a perfect two-way, 2nd line center for our team). As getting an already established two-way 2nd line center, will cost a whole lot more.

If that were to happen, I think the chemistry advantage would be for Henrique not Hall. Hall is going to produce regardless of who he plays with. The real question would be whether Henrique could play a solid defensive game and put up points while playing with Hall.

Perron-RNH-Eberle
Hall-Henrique-Yakupov

That's a heck of a lot of skill but still no size in the top 6.

Even though, Henrique is bigger than Gagner, size isn't an issue for me. If we can upgrade Gagner to a reliable, solid two-way centre I see that as a win.

Henrique and a 2nd for Gagner and that deal probably goes through.

IF the Devils are sniffing around Gagner, is Matteau + Fayne a decent return?

A bottom pairing dman and a guy trying to find his game in the AHL (could be a 3rd liner or a complete bust)... not really much of a return imo.

Merrill is one of their best prospects, they don't move him and henrique for Gagner +.

Who was that Cucumber guy? Good lord those were horrific.

Edit - looks like he's a Nucks fan. It's always a coin flip between two fanbases...

Maybe its just me, but trading Gagner isn't enough imo. If we really want to turn it around we need someone like Stewart still. Yak has some grit, Perron has some grit, and Hall has some grit. That just leaves Eberle to move...

Anyone know who Hemsky played with in the Olympics? He get any time with Krecji? I really think he would do well on a team that opens up space for themselves like the Bruins do.

And what the hell is with Krug and his 32 points?

After the circus of a first game, he played the rest with Krejci and Michalek.

Hemsky @ 50% + Ference to BOS for.... ??

I am not sold on Ference.. way too expensive for a 3rd pairing Dman who isnt physically imposing nor an offensive threat. Steady Staios v2.0 .
We will get the best bang for buck for him from Bruins since they seem to love him. Maybe retain a million here as well to get a better return.

Ference would be a good pickup for a team looking for a decent depth dman with plenty of experience for a playoff run... unfortunately that contract is a killer and makes him hard to move.

2nd best option... Nick Schultz... moved for something small.

It would be stupid to move Ference for numerous reasons, but even if we were thinking about trading our newly appointed captain, I'm not sure he'd agree to it

Ya I'm not saying they'd move Eakin's pet either... I'm just saying I doubt many teams would take on that contract length and salary for essentially a #5 dman.
