My guess is there hoping that hemsky puts in some good offense and they can showcase this to other teams and drive up his value before the deadline, but who knows

If you guys are wondering about the backstory to the Yak pic, this is the text that went along with it:

Nail Yakupov - Warmups - Oilers at Blackhawks November 10, 2013

He must have noticed my Blackhawks jersey as i was taking the picture.

Should have listened to the sage IATL. No one knows realistic pessimism like that guy.
Yep. When I let optimism grab me I usually end up getting kicked in the nuts when it concerns this club. I feel like Charlie Brown. Lucy's not going to pull the ball away this time...

But hey, you gotta believe sometimes.

Fall is like spring here, its that time of optimism, buzz, posters are singing. I even get caught up. haha

nah its all good, we're all suffering here sometimes.

Lets hope the Oil stay on a run. I want them to get in a habit of winning that they can carry into next season.

Watching TC melt faces on their way to Gold was like watching Pacific Rim for me.

Watching the Oilers on Thursday will be like watching Atlantic Rim on Space. :/

I dub that 2nd line... "The trade line".

You thought watching the Oilers defensive prowess was bad before. Can you imagine what it will look like after watching the clinic Team Canada put on at the Olympics?

If I was a betting man... I think the young Oilers players will have watched Team Canada and have a new commitment to team defense and hard work. They will all adopt a 200 foot game and we will see the results with a lot more wins than losses for the rest of the season.

Note - the above is why my wife doesn't let me bet on anything.

This thought has occurred to me a few times. Luckily theres 4days from watching a TC clinic and the gongshow this club plays.

I sure don't expect this club to limit to 20SA/game and keep it to .5 GAA.

Oh well, what do we got left 20 or so games?
