Why is that? Are you a fan of moving out of the first round for a 2nd and 4th, and then flipping their 3rd rounder for two more 4ths?

Draft day for a Patriots fan should just be avoided all together.

I used to love the draft. It was a reason to get together with friends and have a party to watch. Then BB came and took the suspense out of the first round since we knew he'd trade down. And to add insult to injury, ESPN and the NFL took the draft from an all day event on Saturday to splitting it up over 3 days and putting it on during prime time on a Thursday. Worst idea ever.

Blame it much more on ESPN moving it really. BB only trade down and out of the 1st round twice 2009 and 2013. Though 2009 was infuriating.

Haven't really watched the draft in years. Used to waste hours waiting and then it would be like. The Patriots trade their pic.

The old two day draft weekend was the best. I hate Roger Goodell.

Anybody here want to be the Browns GM? Anyone? Bueller?

Wow, what a colossal mess that organization is. Maybe they need to move to Ellicott City, Maryland and just start over again with a new team.

I have seen one mock where the Pats take Louis Nix I hope they keep the pick and get a stud WR or DL.

Later get one of those they didn't take and then TE, OL and DB.

Think DL is the priority for sure, especially someone who can collapse the pocket and pressure the pass.

Don't think they need a WR at all, but TE is definitely a need with Gronk's health being questionable.

Interior OL who can pass block should also be a high priority.

I bet there is almost no chance the Pats use a high pick on a WR. I doubt they take one at all, but if they do it'll be 6th round or later.

Also, Mike Lombardi made one of the great modern trades in NFL history and bailed out Cleveland from a terrible draft pick.

**** you, Mike.

The silver lining here is that I always enjoyed Lombardi on the BS Report (there I go again with podcasts...) so maybe Sports Guy Simmons will actually talk about football again instead of devoting everything to discussing NBA minutia.

My view: The ownership did Lombardi a favor letting him go. Now he can make money for NFL Network or ESPN as an analyst and continue to get paid on the balance of his Browns contract. And he doesn't have to deal with that mess anymore.

Lets see... earn several times my normal salary,... no pressure to be particularly good at my job, and then get kicked out of that dumpster fire after only a year...

That sounds like a pretty sweet deal!

I'm leaning towards the TE ASJ with the 29th pick. Matchup nightmare with him and Gronk. Him or Tuitt would be nice if he falls.

A TE would be a good option since Gronkowski will be injured anyway. It's also time to start looking for a QB...

Good cap savings move, $2.85 million. They can free up another $3.5ish million by releasing Adrian Wilson as well.

If they can restructure Wilfork $11.5 mil), they'll be in a great cap position.

Great news. Hopefully we actually get a safety now instead of going with Harmon, but I think even Harmon would be better than Gregory.
