this GDT had my hopes up when I saw Mason listed at the probable starter, but the tennessean has Vokoun listed.

So much for that 2-1 ratio that Mase supposedly earned. Hopefully Vokes doesn't vacate the net for 2 or 3 goals tonight.

Get Mitch Korn on the phone and ask him to go back to the old technique. You know the one where you stand in front of the net and cover as much space as possible,.

I was hoping to see Mason too.

I was in St. Louis last night (for the Sharks game), and I'm flying into Nashville early this afternoon. If the Sharks decide that this is an important game (which it is), then we could be in for a good hockey game. Unfortunately, that's been a big if for the boys recently.

Good luck to you guys, and maybe I'll see some of y'all tonight (I'll be the guy with the white #32 Irbe jersey hopefully not getting my everlovin *** handed to me tonight during or after the game).

well Im jealous, Ive only made it to one game this year. It's been a while so I'll mention it again, I hate living in Northern Kentucky.

And you'll find that the GEC is full of nice, inviting folks.

Last I heard tickets sales weren't too hot.. but the ones that will be there will be cheering loudly.

I think this and the Presidents Day game will be our last really bad attendance games.

Its a bad night for a hockey game really. Sure diehard hockey fan couples will go, but the average game day person will most likely not go to this game due to Valentine's Day stuff. Add in that this game isn't apart of the ticket packages. Holiday that includes going out with romantic dinner + weekday game (Wednesday night of all) + not apart of ice packs and such == bad night. Oh well.

Its probably best to avoid the forums tomorrow, as burnlikestars pointed out, we'll probably see 16 attendance threads. Including at least 2 "what is wrong with Nashville's fans" threads. The Tennessean will probably have a field day with it, but I refuse to go to their site anymore. This game and the Presidents Day game should be our last bad attendance games.

I tuned in this morning to the Zone while driving to work and to my surprise they were talking about the Predators. Of course, it wasn't about hockey. Yep, the same attendance crap we've been hearing all year. To their fairness, they were actually defending Leipold when talking about the recent "national' article. I'm glad they stuck up for our city but I'd love to hear about this team more and all the good things they've done. I guess its hard to talk about a good thing and much easier to discuss negative issues.

well the Blues scored 5 on Toskala last night. So I think we can win this one if Vokoun will play his part.

Hey Nashville fans. Tonight should be a good game. Sharks played a good offensive game last night for the most part, but fell apart defensively. So there's good and bad news for ya - good news is your forwards have a good chance at out pacing our D who's been struggling lately . Bad news is our offense is anywhere near it was last night then you had better hope your D is sharp.

Its a toss up tonight. Both teams have a whole lot of skill and could be anyones game.

on another note, after reading some of the earlier posts. I'm aware there's an attendence issue there, and I'm not bashing, but is it true your own local media contributes to it? If so, that pisses me off. The Sharks didn't have it easy in the beginning and everyone knows it takes time for a non-traditional sport to pick up (thankfully now we're at a 95% sell-out rate ). It doesn't help when the local media doesn't even help support it. I hope that picks up for you guys. The Pred's are a great team and I always hear the support from the fans that do show up.

Here's to a good game! (I'm leaving work early just to catch it!!)

GO SHARKS!!!

I wouldn't be so sure about beatin us tonight. Toskala wasn't great last night, so we might see God, er, Nolan Schaefer in net tonight.

Nabokov is supposed to be back too, after the birth of his second child following a game injury, but he hasn't practiced in a while due to his injury, so who knows.

Score 100, and let in 99, it's all good, eh?

(Schaefer played six games last season, won his first 5, including the Sharks only shootout win EVER)

4200, jeez. The Predators are one of the best teams in the NHL, it's a shame so many Nashvillians are missing out on a top flight team.

Unbelievable about the media too, it's like they don't want to see the Predators succeed. Tis a shame. Just means the faithful who do know and care and show up just have to be that much louder, which, for the crazy fans I met last time I was there in October, shouldn't be a problem.
