Anyones else see some DAVE Dryden influence behind this mask?

Whoops, it was the Eddie Mio Mask I was thinking of, not Dave

http://www.goaliesarchive.com/oilers/mio.html

either way, I like the early 80's vibe that Scriven's mask has

The helmet is awesome.
It's sophisticated. Inversion of the colours, playing with the scale of the logo, keeping the rest simple...

The pads are just your typical design these days. Too bad the helmet designer didn't take over on the pad design. Oh well.

Really sharp. Love the colour, it's pretty loud but I'm into that sorta thing. I basically gobble up anything "throwback Oiler" though so it had me regardless.

He just has to sign an extension here now right...?

Is that mask not a perfect lead-in to an Orange third jersey next year?

The team should really start working on that jersey now.

Loving the Alexisonfire tribute on there.

Scrivens likes European melodeath and Alexisonfire. I think I'm in love.

Looks really good together. I also like how it makes the 5-hole look bigger than it is.

I think it already looks good with the practice jersey...

But when the home and away jerseys are combined with that set-up? Damn. Thats gonna look sick.

Sometimes goalies throw on so much stuff on their masks you can't even tell what you're looking at. Other times it looks bad ass and it fits perfectly. In this case, simplicity is probably for the best. Especially with using so much orange.

So is this a hint that he might sign with the Oilers?

Would be sad that he gets the mask and then MacT trades him for a pick at the deadline.

Bit plain for my taste but better than white.
