Parking is expensive yes, 25 bucks most places. We actually lucked out though with a meter spot right near the arena. It worked since I am on crutches (severley sprained ankle) and I didn't have far to walk. As for food. we only had pop and nachos. 5 bucks for a large pop and the nachos were also five. Beer was also only 6 bucks which seems more than normal to me.
25 Bucks for parking! .... I get ticked off that Rexall charges 8 dollars. Thats why I'm glad I have my "secret free parking spot", which is becoming less of a secret each game I think...

Since then, the PP has been running at about 12%, and the last 4 games it saw a jump (around 19%). Petersen has had success playing the point before (albeit at the AHL level), and other options hadn't been working previously, so why not try something new?

It's not like he kills the play all the time and makes bad plays at the blueline (which if he was doing I could understand kicking him off). And again, the PP had a brief hint of success before this game tonight, so why not see if it can continue?

The PP may suck with Petersen, but it's sucked with everyone else too. Don't forget, they are trying a whole new PP system out there... one that relies more on movement and passes into the slot and the side of the net as opposed to the one-timer bomb on every play. For a team that relied on the one-timer all last year and up until now this year, this is a huge adjustment to make.

At the very least it's been an adjustment that hasn't set the team back, and if it makes improvements in the near future it could be worth it (i.e. same philosophy when Stoll returns and plays that point).

i dont know DB, when it goes 0 for 7 and the pp has the SAME look every time, why not change it? he has no problem blendering his lines 5 on 5, but stick with teh same pp all game long and it cost us the game imo......i'm just not talking about TP...throw MAP out there, at least he had a hot hand and gives a differtn look...there was no effort to get the puck to the net to where our best player, 94, has a chance...unforgiveable...

The PP seemed to have quite a few good chances once they were set up. The biggest problem tonight was trying to do that, with Boston playing very aggressively against us in the neutral zone, and our own zone. Once we had it set up, I thought we made some nice plays though.

I also remember many, many games this season and from seasons past where the PP hasnt been clicking, and Mac-T sends out some different lines for it (IE: No Hemsky, Smyth, etc...), and when it dosent work, their is alot of complaining about how only an idiot would change it up just because it hasnt been working so far that game. I guess it is a double edged sword, but as DB said, the PP had been clicking at a pretty good pace for the 4 games before this one.

Stortini, I like him. Plays with alot of energy and heart and is the kind of player that seems to give the Bruins problems. Why only 2 minutes of ice time ?

He could of really changed the tempo with a big hit or fight.

Its tough to get a guy like that minutes on the road, especially when their is so much special teams.

Actually I thought he had one of the best hits on the night. He managed to do something good despite such a tiny amount of ice time.

I am thinking MacT wanted to get the offensive horses out there and play a lot because offensively we looked pretty dead tonight. Clearly it did not work.

According to CBS Sportsline, he's out vs Buffalo. One of the papers mentioned that he might miss the entire 7-game road trip.

On a side note, the game vs Buffalo might be postponed as they're expecting 141 inches (approximately 55 centimetres) of snow.

What's the problem? Eh, a little snow never hurt anyone.

Shame, I've been wanting to see him play live for awhile now. Guess that will be put on hold.

Hmm, I get that...

I'd take it with a grain of salt, weather isn't really that bad in Buffalo right now. If the Airports say open or if the Oilers are already in Buffalo, I don't doubt they'll be a game.

I think that you mean that 55 inches is about 140 centimetres (or 4 1/2 feet). That's quite a bit of snow. 141 inches is about 11 ft 8 inches. Quite a bit more.

I mean 141 inches of snow. That's what this poster on the other message board said and he's from Buffalo I believe. On the weather network, they were mentioning 70 centimetres in the Ontario area and if you don't have to drive, don't.

It's mistaken information that he gave you.

It is going to snow quite a bit- but I promise you it isn't 141 inches of snow, lol. That is almost 12 feet of snow.

Without even watching the weather network, that is 100 inches off minimum.

Like I said, we should had traded for Sturm
But now we can look forward to a Top 14 pick. I hope it will be a Top 10 pick...there seems to be 10,11 really good prospects in this years draft.

I think you got your inches and centimeters mixed up. Last time I checked it took 2.5cm to make 1 inch.

Before tonights game, the Oilers PP has been 4/21 for 19% since Stoll went down against vancouver on Feb 1st. That includes 2 games played against the leagues best PK.
So why exactly is tonights game not included in reffering to stoll being out...? And also both those games against the leagues best PK the Oilers didn't score, so I don't see why you even mentioned that.

Parts of New York have gotten 141 inches of snow over the past 10 days.

I think that's where the 141 is coming from.

You'll spend $25 on a couple of lots here in Atlanta too. Pure insanity. 8 bucks is dirt cheap. Around here, paying 8 bucks for parking means your car might not be there when you come back.

On Boston, the area around the Garden doesn't really have an abundance of parking though, IIRC. Course, anytime I've ever done anything over there, I've taken the T. So my memory could be off.
But that's how you make the real money, parking....

It snowed for 9 days straight in the region, and they've had over 4 meters of snow in that time period.
