Cheechoo

Looks like he is going to be huge the rest of the way teamed with Thornton. Same as last year.....

So why hasn't he been playing with Thornton lately?

Well, he has been playing with Thornton lately, but before that, he was playing on the second line with Michalek and Pavelski and the first line was Thornton, Marleau, and Clowe.

Cheechoo was in a funk for a while, but now he's playing like he did last year (a good sign for Shark fans ).

He's gotten back on track for sure.

Can't wait to see what happens next time we play Anaheim!

He was playing poorly for awhile, but now he has improved his play and is playing with Big Joe again. Hopefully he can keep it up, we'll definitely need it down the stretch.

Cheechoo's multi-goal games this season:

10/12/06 vs Edmonton, 3
11/09/06 vs Los Angeles, 2
12/09/06 vs Nashville, 2
02/06/07 vs Anaheim, 2
02/07/07 vs Anaheim, 2

4 goals in the last two games against the ducks, even though the 'murray-fied' blues have been better of late than the ducks...

fingers and toes crossed here.

We're not basing this on one game...

I'm also hopeful that Michalek will continue playing like he did at the beginning of the year.

yeah, it's not like he scored 4 goals in 2 games against anaheim or anything-- oh wait.

the guy's got 20 goals. are anaheim, detroit, and nashville good teams? cheechoo has 9 goals in 10 games against them. he's doing fine and heating up. hopefully he'll make san jose fans forget his struggles early this year.

So... uh, is it time to drop Ryane Clowe in our fantasy pools?

I would say no. He's on the same line as Cheechoo and Thornton and if those two create the same magic as last year, whoever else is on their line is cashing in big time. Exhibit A: Nils Ekman.

Edit: I applaud you for spelling his name right.

Yeah, he's heating up at the most perfect time. Let's hope he keeps it up.

Also, I wouldn't drop Clowe. He's playing very well with Cheech And Joe.

I'd keep clowe. He gets the points and penalty minutes. Clowe is not afraid to drop gloves.

Clowe is now doing what everyone expected Mark Bell to do for that line... Tough... Decent hands... Works hard.

Which IMO makes Mark Bell very expendable...

Mark Bell made himself expendable a long time ago by rear ending some poor sap drunk as a skunk
