Holy crap. What an outlandish statement.
Name me a single player in giants history they have drafted in the first round who had character concerns?

You don't need evidence in the nfl. It's not a criminal court.

Like I said, there is absolutely no doubt there are questions.

Questions remove him from the giants draft board.

Let's see. Multiple off field incidents, a temperament to do stupid things and not control himself on the field. Sounds like another incognito to me.

Oh, first round now? Move the goal posts much?

Sorry, but they do not. Thats why the interview process exists. There may very well be no questions after the interview.

Perhaps you should learn to write your posts better when making a direct statement.

It's unlikely they even met with him.

The draft process is all about removing guys from their board and narrowing it down.

If there are questions, which there clearly are, he is off the board.

It's really that simple.

Frankly, I don't think we go OT in the first round anyway so it would be a moot point. I like Ebron and Evans just as much as Lewan and would take Ebron over all of them. I think we go:

1. TE/WR
2. OT/OG
3. RB/LB/DB

Uh, why would one unrelated post have anything to do with a direct (mis)statement in a second?

Unrelated?

I said in that post (which you quoted) that the giants never draft guys with character issues in the first round.

Not my fault your memory is shot.

Still waiting for you to show that they draft character flagged guys in the first... Seems 78 years should be a fairly good sample size.

I don't think you understand how things work. You made a direct statement that the Giants wouldn't draft character concern guys. I answered it. It's quite a simple thing. Regardless, you can have the last word if you so desire.

Current mock:

1: Eric Ebron (TE)
2: David Yankey (OT/G) or Gabe Jackson (OG)
3: Dominique Easley (DE)
4: Lache Seastrunk or Charles Sims (RB) (I would move up to the end of the 3rd to grab Sims if I could)
5: Jaylen Watkins (CB)
5 (comp pick): Khairi Fortt (LB)
6: Rob Blanchflower (TE)

University of Michigan athletics is funded independently of university funds, meaning no tuition or taxpayer dollars support it. The department regularly has multimillion-dollar surpluses.
Like I said, money from athletic boosters. When they donate money, they have to know what their money is going for.

You don't need proof of anything in the nfl. Where there's smoke it's better to play safe
Now the first sentence could be misconstrued as "the giants never take character concern players" but it literally translates to just not taking Lewan in any round. But the second sentence does clearly state in the first. When you put both sentences together it clearly indicates

Lewan will go in the first
The giants won't draft him in the first so he's basically not on their draft board.

It does not translate to "The giants never take character concern players ever"

The Giants are not taking a TE in the 1st round. thats about as likely as them taking a LB

My dude Khalil Mack absolutely DESTROYING it at the combine and UB Pro day. There was a scout that clocked him at a 4.45 40

He'll probably go top 5-7. I hope the fact that he went to UB drops him out of the top 10 though

I called it awhile ago he'd go before Barr.

Hope NYG add Geoff Schwartz at G in UFA.

I think the OT that are worth signing will probably be too expensive.

Cromartie cut. Rumors are swirling Jets have a deal with Verner and are waiting until Tuesday at 4 to announce it.

That would be huge for us.
