But its like he is afraid. He should defenitly be able to be atleast top 3 on this team.

If he just would skate forward and shoot he would be top 3.

Maybe Lundy have stopped him too many times in practise so that he have lost all his confidence....
Exactly what I have said months ago. Jagr has too big of an ego that will not be able to handle the scrutiny of not succeeding in shootouts. Therefore, he eliminates this problem all together by not making himself an option in the SO.

What he needs to do is watch Mats Sundin and learn how to use his in game brilliance in the shootout. Watching Sundin roof that SO goal against the Islanders yesterday showed how calm and cool a top player really can be. Now granted I have no idea what they do in practice but can't Jagr atleast practice this until he has that confidence? It just seems like something he does not even want to bother to fix.

Thanks

for the replies everyone.

Ultimately, I think you got to go with the hot hand.

Those of you who don't like Hossa, thats fine. Hossa and Prucha have been repeatedly buried on the depth chart and sometimes its understandable and sometimes its not.

There is no denying Prucha on breakaway is money. Anyone who can make M. Brodeur look bad on a shootout is someone I want shooting, and Hossa and Prucha have done that.

I like Shanny, but I perfer a deek rather then a shot, unless Steve Larmer is going to slap it home 3 feet out

I think Jagr would be more successful...

on the penalty shot if there were two defenders out there.

Just curious what Ranger fans think..

I'd go with:

Prucha
Hossa
Nylander.

Prucha is dynamic, quick, deceptive and has a nack for scoring.
Hossa has Marian like skills when given the opportunity and a silk smooth stride.
Nylander has the change of pace and sneaky ability.

After that, its anyones guess...
without a doubt these three

I'd go with Straka, Nylander and Shanahan.

I think Shanahan's quick release would be even more effective after the goalie has to wait so long for Nylander to make his move.
