Totally disagree abev.

The way the schedule sets up with 14 more games at home in the next 20 or so, they need this one because their play at home stinks.

The more wins they can pile up now, the better. This team is streaky.

I think Pock has a clause in his contract that if he doesn't play X number of games, he can become an UFA. and there is no way that Pock can play that amount of games.

Why would he have a clause like that, especially a young player???

Pock is a Group VI UFA. If a skater is 25 or older and played in less than 80 career NHL games, he is a UFA when his contract expires. Pock has played in 36 career games.

It's not a clause in his contract. It's in the CBA.

A must win, or we have no chance catching up to the teams ahead of us.
its funny, but every game becomes the "biggest game of the year" from now on.

As pretty much everyone else has touched on;this is a big game for this team. If they come out firing on all cylinders like they have been, they should come away with these points. Hopefully this layoff hasnt hurt their desire to play as desperate as they have been. LETS GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!

Rangers need one of those big games from Shanny tonight, where he comes out of the shadows and unleashes 2 goals in 3 shifts.

Big game tonight hope Rangers get 2 points and Jaromir get a goal. I say 4-1 to Rangers, goals from Jags, Hossa, Shanny and Tyutin. King-Henrik +20 saves..

Not a do or die, but a win would really set things in motion. The next two games are home vs Philly and CHI so, a win tonight, and maybe we're looking at 5 in a row and then looking at a home/home vs the Devils (who we do play good against) and home games agaisnt MTL and CBJ...Now is the time to really make up ground..They gotta come out firing--and that's Renney's job

Have to find a good US proxy for the game tonight. All I have tried (about 30) have been crap.

If somebody know of a good proxy located in US, please tell me.

I don't think the Rangers can AFFORD to lose any games, let alone games against teams we are trying to catch. Now that doesn't mean it is hopeless if they lose, but winning would obviously be ideal.

Here's for Ward giving another cheap shot to one of his former teammates and getting away with it

...

This is going to be a tigher game than the last two...we are playing the Champs afterall and they do have a deep team.

My prediction:

3-2 Rangers win:
Goals:
Ortmayer
Dupuis
Shany

I hear ya man, I'm pumped to finally watch some Rangers especially after the last 2 awesome games. Hope the layoff doesn't hurt em. Drop the puck already!! I'm looking forward to seeing what Dupuis brings to the table.

How about this for a prediction from an otherwise pesimistic person around here:

Rangers win 4-2. Jagr, Shanahan, Avery, Hossa
