Jean sucks. He seems to have found a rhythm in Greenville the past two weeks, but he still sucks.

They're short a man with Miller in NY and Kristo injured.

Add Bourque to that list as well.

Jean can play fourth line.

Yeah I get the need. Just restating my frequently-heard opinion that he sucks.

In all honesty, I'd rather Hartford recall Andrew Rowe. I only saw him briefly this year, but he seemed to be more effective than Jean. ****, I'd rather give Josh Nicholls his first look. Jean had a good two weeks to start last year, but has been a big bag of suck ever since.

Crap, is it confirmed that he's going to miss more time?

Hopefully Hrivik wasn't also injured on his last shift on Tuesday.

Jean's the only center out of those three, and the Pack need a center.

Is Rowe not a center? He's listed as one.

He's played wing with both St. Croix and Jean. I don't think he's played center in years.

Ryan Hollweg is listed as a center on hockeydb and I don't think he ever played center after juniors.

Yeah, I know HockeyDB isn't always up to date though. They'll do the same thing with the heights and weights. He IS listed as a center on the AHL website though, which seems to be updated pretty frequently (though isn't necessarily accurate). Ah well, it's really irrelevant either way.

In other news, Bourque is playing tonight.

Yes, great news Bourque is playing. Means the injury wasn't a break. No Kristo though, bummer.

The lines tonight are bizarro;

Hensick-Powe-Fast
Yogan-Lindberg-St. Croix
Borque-Hrivik-Asham
O'Donnel-Jean-Beech

Haley and Vaive scratched.

A lot of old friends on Hershey; Jeff Taffe, Dane Byers, Steve Olesky, and Tyson Scratchan.

Pack win in the SO. Would have been a clear Pack win but for the play of Leggio in goal for Hershey. Fast all over the ice again, with a number of scoring chances and drawing two penalties I think - although Hershey did frustrate him a bit. Lindberg with one of his better games recently, and the tying goal late in the game was all him. Great, authoritative play coming off the half boards on the 5-on-3.

Hrivik with one of the my favorite moves I've ever seen in the SO - inside, outside, inside, outside and...

filp...

right over the glove of Leggio who had enough time to flail at it twice while it was floating just out of reach. Awesome. Right up there with the classic Forsberg move.

How about playing MSC at center while we are at it, instead if putting him out of position.

Were these actual lines last night? It would make more sense to me to play Lindberg as 1C with Fast and the rotate 3 players: MSC to 2C, Hrivik to 2RW, and Powe to 3C.

Yep, those were the lines - although I think Hensick was actually the center on the first line.

Been trying to watch some Pack games with my ************* account. Is the camera angle/broadcast normally that bad, or is it just the stream the ************* is getting?

Normally that bad. That's the AHL feed. The Pack games don't even have the worst quality. Some other teams like Springfield have much worse cameras.

I feel sad when I read Byers' name. Early on he had that rugged PF with some skill tag but he's turned into a hopeless minor league thug.

He played well for the Rangers in his few games on the awful 2009-10 season, it was a numbers game when he got sent down, and that was it, never got another shot.

Wow! McIlrath with a GORGEOUS goal just now.

Fast possesses along the left side boards for 10 seconds or so, skates towards the corner, drops to Hensick skating towards the blue line. Hensick's got some room, stops near the top of the circle, passes diagonally through the D to McIlrath who's streaking down from the right point. McIlrath hits the breaks, goes inside, outside, inside, outside, the goalie goes down and McIlrath buries it.

Pack already up 3-0 with 2:30 to go in the 1st.

5 minutes after his goal, McIlrath in a fight with Hagel - Hagel clearly just trying to hang on for dear life, focused primarily on tying up McIlrath's arms so he can't let loose.

Pack give up a late goal, period ends 3-1.
