Well you figure he should a start in one of the games this weekend. I'd put money on Sunday in Columbus.

Can Halak do shoutouts every game ? That's the only way this team is going to win games.

Too much pressure at the worst time.

Huet is injured...you think Aeby can play two games in two days? I'm not so sure...and yes season saved indeed.

Instead of splitting up Kovalev and Koivu, put them back on the first line together along with higgins or ryder. Then we can give Lap some serious ice time up on the 2nd line the Lat and Sammy. The way I see it, we almost have nothing to lose at this point.

Really there isn't much room for grabov really. But still. Kosty would be a nice addition.

Get rid of Downie + Murray. OR at the very least Downie.
where is higgins???

I think it could be a good thing. Teams tend to play better when they have a rookie goalie playing his first game (to protect the goalie...)

I think Sunday is our best bet. If he doens't play him on Sunday then I wouldn't expect him to start soon.

Grabov and Kosty should stay in Hamilton unless they are going to get lots of ice time. No point in having one of them on the 4th line. They would be better off getting more ice time in Hamilton than warming the bench on the 4th line. Now that Kovy is out I asumme Kosty will be called up though.

Calm your horses down, Halak is great at the "AHL" level but he still isn't prooven at the "NHL" level, don't be disappointed if he gives up 4 goals on 20 shots now...

Seeing a prospect come up and play is the most excitement we've had with our team since December.

Halak HAS to play sunday - reason being that we would be in deep doo doo if we lost Aebischer to injury as well. Therefore, Halak should start sunday.

Why is everyone so excited?

Ah yeah, Halak will get Higgins and Koivu out of their scoring slump... <rolls eyes>

I hope he does better than Vokoun did in his first appearance:
4 goals on 14 shots against the Flyers, yanked after the 1st period.

Even if his AHL stats are very impressive, i don't think he will start a game. Probably just came here to fill an empty jersey. The only way i see him playing a game is if Abby get a crappy start.

we got 7 GAMES in 10 nights starting Saturday night .

you think ABBY is getting all those ...nudda chance

Halak will see action and he deserves it with his GGA under 1.90 in the Ahl .

Its a good measuring stick for Halak to see where he is . He has excelled at every level he has played

JR ,ECHL, Ahl and now hopefully NHL too .

Good luck Halak , wishing you well in your first few NHL games. You earned them
