When do doors open, and when is warm ups?

What is the best way to get the CTC from Albert Street and is there buses back to downtown at the end of the game.

Thanks
Walk to the closest transitway stop on Albert street and take the first available 403. The earliest bus (6:10-6:15ish depending on where you are on Albert) should get you there in time to catch the whole warm-up, but there are no guarantees. The 403 will probably be packed by the Albert stops and a bus or two might skip you. Don't panic, more are coming.

To get back, just return to where the bus dropped you off and take the same number (403) home. Cost is 2 tickets or $3.40 per person each way.

Will be visiting Ottawa for Escapade MF. IIRC, it will be at Wesley Clover Park. Anyone know some relatively cheap yet decent hotels? Something like Days Inn, a place that isn't high end, but isn't a ****hole either

Well the Nepean Tent and Trailer Ground is right beside it...

There's actually a Days Inn just down Moodie Dr. 5km walk is totally reasonable but perhaps not if you are inebriated. Anything in Bells Corners will suit you, there's also a Holiday Inn and Best Western within a few blocks.

Hi all,

Currently in a debate about the tailgate (i.e. open alocohol in the parking lot) policy at CTC, both of us have searched high and low for any recent relevant information released by the team however we cannot find a single thing refrencing it nor any policy at all for the CTC. At this point we are seriously considering calling the Sens to answer this question on whether it is allowed or not but figured i would check here first. I remember a press release issued last playoffs but again cannot find it anywhere.

I'd think that open alcohol is fine, assuming you aren't causing problems and openly displaying bottles. I've tailgates numerous times during the playoffs and nobody, including cops, said anything except to ensure we had a DD.

Eugene owns the parking lot so it's private property.

Escapade will be integrating a camping ground with it's festival this year FYI.

Do you have to be near the CTC? If that's your only plan, the best thing I can suggest is just to go to the nearby CENTRUM plaza and you will find a variety of restaurants there. No true sports bars to watch a game though.

Up and across from the CTC there are Boston Pizzas and such that will have the game on.

It is not hard to find a place near by.

Close to the CTC would be great. I don't mind something like a Boston Pizza (15 minutes away from the CTC I think), but is there anything else similar to BP?

You'd have to think someone is just waiting to put a sports bar in where the Bass Pro etc is going to be. It would be awesome to have a big place to go to before, during (for playoffs anyways, to be close to the building) and after games.

As i understand it Bass Pro is part of a massive retail complex then you have Minto that want to build a retail complex right next to the outlets plus phase 2 of Tanger will have a hotel and resturants.

Hey all,

What's the best way to get a single ticket to a Sens game?

The easiest, though not cheapest, is just to buy through capital tickets. Dead easy to get a single ticket that way. Stubhub offers many options but the seller probably won't want to break a pair, you might just have to bite the bullet, buy two, and enjoy the extra legroom and coat storage space.

Hey guys,

I'm going to Bluesfest Saturday to see Gambino and Snoop. I don't mind buying the tickets at full price but just wondering if you guys know of anywhere to buy tickets a bit cheaper than the $60 listed now?

Check on Kijiji.. I've seen the Empire grill (VIP area) tickets going for that price on there.

Coming to Ottawa in Nov.

I've been a Sens fan for almost 20 years and have never been to Ottawa to see the Sens play. I will be coming in November to see them play the Jets. My wife was talking about me staying at the Brookstreet hotel near the arena, but I was thinking about staying in the city, anyone have any suggestions?

If you want to enjoy the overall experience of the city, I'd strongly suggest staying downtown. Kanata isn't really much right now in terms of tourism attractions.

How long are you planning on staying?

Depends how long you are here for. The arena is pretty far out and would cost a fortune via cab , although public transportation on game day is very easy.

If you are just here for the day stay at brookstreet ad it is close to the arena and has good amenities. If you are planning on a few days I would stay in the byward market , a lot more going on in terms of night life , restaurant , museums , shopping ect.
