Linden Vey and Tanner Pearson...

Small, nothing proven at the pro level.

Toffoli would be nice.

Also, I'd pry Nicolas Deslauriers out of them. Can play D and LW, offensively dynamic and doesn't shy away from physicality.

He would just have to skate across the ice and change his jersey, socks, pants, helmet and gloves ahahah.

ALthough teams would probably NOT do this for obvious reasons, I wonder if the guy would actually be allowed to change sides and play for the other team.

Happened in that movie I watched though.

I rather someone who can play with pleks. Deslauriers is another third liner. We have about 6 of those.

Metropolit did it when we picked him up on Waivers. Practiced with Philly in the Morning and played with us in the evening.

Hey guys maybe you can clarify something.

So Markov said that he wouldn't accept a trade to the Oilers, does that mean that we had a deal in place, or that the two teams just had a discussion about him. Also how many teams can Markov veto, and does he select the teams now, or did he already do it at the beginning of the season?

It means Edmonton probably inquired and they said he won't accept a trade there.

Beginning of the season, he has a list of 8 teams he won't accept a trade to. Edmonton was not surprisingly one of them. I'd expect others to include the likes of Calgary, Buffalo, Florida, Carolina, Islanders... Probably Winnipeg. And it wouldn't surprise me if the 8th was New Jersey.

I'm sure LA's not on it.

I guarantee you neither Vey or Pearson will ever have a sniff at our top line.

Plus, I had Deslauriers in mind as a defencemen.

You'd want Deslauriers to play as a LW, that's where we're transitioning him to, with sexy results. He can play the PP as D though.

Does Matt Greene still interest Habs fans, provided you felt you could extend him beyond this season? As a piece, not the piece, mind you.

Toffolli, Clifford, and a 1st could get an elite player signed to a multi year contract.
Ridiculous to think we could get anywhere close to that for a rental Markov.

I agree. I wouldn't do it for anything other than a future impact player. I'd even be willing to add Moen for Toffoli.

I heard Ross's interview with Pagnotta from that Quarterly Menstrual Cycle site.

The Kane thing was entirely brought up by Ross. Pagnotta said it had been a continuum between MB and Chevaldayoff, since last year. They've been trading offers but if anything will materialize, it would only happen in the summer.

As for rumors that are allegedly in the now, Pagnotta would not offer the names implicating the two west coast teams who he says are in on Markov, adding that he was aware of the players involved in one of the offers.

Menstrual Guy would not name the teams, but said that the offer he knew about, was "solid", and involved a young forward, a near-elite young D and a high pick but not a first.

And then Pagnotta left the show, put on his expensive sunglasses and pretended he was a high-powered executive.

Thanks, I wonder who the near-elite young D was. I feel like the offer was Clifford, Muzzin and a 2nd. Purely speculation though.

Thats what I would have guessed. I don't know Muzzin's game very well.

Unfortunately yes. "Near-elite young D" is specially laughable, regardless of who it is, but whatever.

We know but somehow, Pagnotta eluded the Charbonneau Commission and was able to get credentials here as a recognized source.

How much more would we have to add to Markov to land say Toffoli, Muzzin and a first?

LA would do more damage keeping Muzzin and Toffoli than trading them for Markov. Lombardi would be a fool to do that.

Pagnotta is just a habs fan who got lucky enough to be able to reach large audiences.

Boo, I was really hoping for an interesting trade today... I thought teams would quickly react to the Miller trade.

Did Bergevin fly with the team or did they stay in town?
