And we only gave up 3 in the last 3. Also the fact that we were pretty disciplined tonight helps. As soon as I realized we gave up only 1 powerplay of course they get another, but still 2 isn't bad.

Yep, and that Hollweg penalty early on was nonsense. We played a really discipline road game.

rangers showed pure 0wn4ge tonight.. but they're finally starting to play like a team which is most important. their defense has been great, and theyve even gotten a goal in each of the 3 wins (i think). but they havent sacraficed playing defense when theyve stepped in to score. lundqvist has been pretty self-explanatory, great play by him. and all of the lines have energy and are rolling very well. i just wish prucha would score more, but he just hasnt really found his groove this season. if he stays on the top pp unit tho, he'll score, or at least get some assists. overall, great game.

and this ones for shanahan:

great game tonight. May I say that Dupuis' skating style reminds me a lot of... ehem, Cullen. But boy, he is fast.

As for Prucha, the more i watch these games the more it seems to me he is losing a spot on the team.

Now NY needs to focus one game at a time and keep the streak going

Lundqvist in his zone which is good.

I still have some concerns about scoring depth over the long haul though.

But the last 3 games/wins all have the same thing in common, the team gave an honest effort.

Much like last year, when it does that it has a chance.

I was impressed with what I saw and heard about Dupuis tonight. Looks good with Cullen out there. Those two with Orts? SUPER fast.

Could it be the C.O.D line?

Looks like Tampa and Isles are going to win, Leafs already won...this is going to be a tough stretch and I expect all the teams to not let up...hopefully we keep playing strong and hope for the best.

We now have Avery, Dupuis, Cullen, and Hossa at the forward spot contributing in solid ways.

Rachunek and Roszival have been providing dangerous shots from the back end.

There are many encouraging signs, but i refuse to loft too much praise until we are back into the playoffs and continue to play 60 minutes.

I think the reason we are playing better and giving up so few goals has little to do with the D. honestly I dont think our D has been horrible except for the typical Malik blunder since we got rid of bozo and kaspar. It all comes down to the offense. when those guys generate chances, control the puck, and most importantly actually skate back to play D, our D can hold their own against most teams. To me it all comes down to our offense.

Im going to withhold opinion on Dupuis, I didnt see enough to be swayed from my stance that it was a lateral move at best.

Lets wait and see.

I definitely don't see the Dupuis move as lateral simply because it got Hall OFF the team and we got a guy with wheels back for him.

Avery wasn't kept off the score sheet. He had an assist.

Listened to the game, I could tell this wasn't one of those games where the boys self-destruct. Amazing what this team is like when they have composure and discipline, just like I saw flashes of at times earlier in the season. It's like they just put their opponent away like it's already figured out, just play out the minutes. If they can actually lock onto this way of playing (why they can't bugs me endlessly, cause they have the raw talent) they will be a dark horse for the playoff run, and if they get there, who knows.

Good job tonight, really good job.
