Return sucks but it is what it is

At least with Bowman at helm the Hawks have shown an ability to to find good talent thru draft

+ the Panthers 3rd could be pretty good (Top 5 of round)

I'd rather have Pirri than a 3rd.

I would have rather seen Pirri used as a part of bigger deal ,, That is my big complaint honestly

For what? With what cap space?

We traded a 4th for Regin and got a 3rd and a 5th for a guy with no future with this organization. Perfect. I always thought they'd get a 3rd for Pirri. He wanted out, and the Hawks got a 5th on top.

Good luck to him in Florida. That's probably one of the best places he could have been traded to.

Great trade. We got all we could expect to get from a dude that has no future with Chicago. He was given EVERY chance to succeed in Chicago and he couldn't figure out how to be successful on a line with Kane, so we trade him and get what we can.

Ehhh...

Florida's 28th, meaning they'll get another high pick in the draft. If they keep the 3rd pick, they'll likely get Bennett or Dal Colle (both centres) and already have Barkov and Bjugstad on the team, with Trocheck and Shore on the bubble.

Hawks just got for Pirri what they got for Frolik.

Bowman either didn't get enougj for Frolik or pulled magic on Tallon. I'll take the latter.

So now we ripped off Tallon. You might want to sit down, you'll get dizzy from all that spin.

It's as if the Hawks just traded a young, 50-point scorer because they have some prospect in the system. They traded a guy that couldn't establish himself on this team for picks.. and yes, having Teuvo Teravainen makes that trade a lot easier to make.
If you say so. I don't really remember many standout moments from him at all in the preseason. I remember he looked pretty solid, he wasn't a liability out there but I wouldn't call him extremely impressive by any means.

Pretty much this.

Inevitable move. Can't blame Pirri asking for a trade. Happy for him.

A pending RFA that wanted out and was disliked Q was flipped by his lonesome for a 3rd and a 5th. That's nothing to complain about.

Then how is he "pulling magic"?

One particular play comes to mind against Pittsburgh, where Teravainen got the puck in the neutral zone, made a forward miss on a check, got the line, dangled wide on a Pittsburgh Dman that was trying to line him up and then made a perfect cross-ice pass to Patrick Kane who missed the net.

If we're only judging Teravainen by his couple weeks in training camp, then yeah he's nothing special. Luckily that has little to do with how prospects are rated.

wait what? Why even bother getting a 3rd and a 5th for him? Doesnt he hold more value as a piece in a bigger trade!?!?!

If they really wanted picks instead they could have waited until the draft to do this deal.

Confused...
