Hartnell?

What are the preds going to do with Hartnell? Will they hold onto him for the play-offs? Re-sign him before the deadline? over the summer?

there's no way he gets traded, but as for whether or not we can keep him...i don't know.

i'll be immensely bummed if he leaves. my longtime favorite predator and the only personalized jersey i own.

I could see Boston offering 5 years $20 million this offseason. They need grit, and they are very thin at LW. Sturm may walk this offseason, which leaves Boston with P.J. as their best LWer.

Add the Islanders to the list of teams that will go after him hard. The one thing the Isles need on their top line is a big, physical LW with offensive ability. A young player like himself would fit well into their future plans.

With Doan remaining a Coyote, and Smyth likely to stay an Oiler, Hartnell has a hell of an opportunity to cash in on the open market. He's a much safer bet than Bertuzzi, and is alot younger. If teams are looking for power forwards, he may just be choice number one.

He's only played left wing here but I'd say yes.

Update on his status? This week 2 of a possible 5, correct? Anything new in the rag or on the net?

Any chance that his injury situation makes it that much more likely that he stays in Nashville?

I think that is part of the reason he is here this season. He has potential to put up great numbers but an injury has kept him from it each season. Hopefully Poile will be able to use that as leverage against him and keep the price low enough to resign, but not so low that he walks.
