Seems like I predicted the final score correctly. Didn't bother with who won, but I always expect them to lose.

Not a terrible game, we had chances. Nothing really too terrible to complain about. In fact ill take a positive out of this game:

-Tinordi is good.

*Disclaimer, only watched 3rd due to soccer

PK hasn't been himself.

Worth noting though, Doughty ****ed up a couple of times. Didn't see too many people here talking about it, but he did.

Bringing out the chair was a great power move for the big guy.

He's trying to do way too much. His cute plays at the blue line have nearly cost us on so many different occasions. He misreads plays, doesn't shoot when's supposed to. I don't think I've seen him struggle so much ever in the NHL.

Eller that hasn't scored in 20+ games, he's the one you want on the ice when you need a goal.

How about Plekanec for the faceoff?

He's about on par at the moment but he's rapidly improving and is nowhere near his ceiling. I'm 100% confident he will be better than Emelin, but currently he's as good IMO

Other than tonight, when has one of his penalties cost the game? Must be some time ago, I don't remember. And that goal happened early in the second, the team had more than enough time to go get a goal back.

Huh, so that's what a grinding team looks like.

Also, RDS named Markov 3rd star for some reason.

Good :
- Plekanec's line
- Desharnais' line (especially Gallagher, dude is flying since the Olympic break)
- Markov

Bad :
- White (stupid ass penalty from a useless player)
- Subban (playing his worst hockey of his career)
- Eller
- Bourque

Ugly :
- The powerplay

They competed but it wasn't pretty. The transition is awful. Let's hope they get at least 2 points out of this trip.

Do you think Markov and Emelin are worried about what's happening in Ukraine right now ?

Most of those cute plays happen because the entire team's strategy is to give it to him at the point, and many times he's completely boxed in and has nowhere to go. he either has to try something fancy to break free, or he has to leave the zone and try to regain it. Neither are ideal.

Remember when I was drunk and proposed Keith Yandle for Lars Eller?

Why? What about this team showed you that they could compete with any decent western conference team?

Pump the brakes a bit.

Tinordi is playing fewer minutes, against generally worse opposition.

He looks good, but seriously, this sort of chatter leads to hilarious debates of trading good players away to "make room" for a young player who hasn't messed up yet.

But I do like Tinordi

We're talking Doughty right?

Just kidding. You're right, he seems to have lost some confidence. He's still a great blueliner but he's not as dominant as he was. MT has done a number on him.

And don't forget, with the current system... there's nobody to pass to. The forwards don't know where they're supposed to be.

Well let's just thank the hockey gods that you aren't the coach because putting Eller on the PP is just ridiculous. Guy was once again our worst forward...him and Bourque were just mind-blowingly bad.

Side note: I wish Therrien would snap out of it and put Subban on the PK. Why in the world are Markov and Emelin (both worse defensively) getting regular PK shifts while he sits on the bench and watches.
