Well it could rain for 90% in a given day...................and not for the other 10%

My point about his ranking system or whatever the hell he calls it is it's either a deal or not............maybe he should say there a chance of a deal or strong chance of a deal not a 60% chance

Either way does anyone have any stats on his sucess rate? I'm saying it's probably less that 15%...

Let's forget Lecavalier. The Bolts won't trade him. They will probably put Richards on the market which will be a huge mistake.

I'm from Rimouski and we have to get this guy. I'm 99,9% sure he is gonna bounce back and be a dominant player next year. He's the franchise player to build around.

First, I would do something like this:

To MTL: Braydon Coburn and conditionnal pick

To ATL: Sheldon Souray

BG would also have to trade Kovalev.

Then, during the offseason:

To MTL: Brad Richards

To TB: Saku Koivu

Koivu would finally play on the 2nd line where he would be great IMO. Let's not forget that the Bolts would save 3M$ by doing such a trade. We might have to add something but I think that they would listen.

Ryder and Bouillon or Dandenault would have to be traded and Samsonov buyout.

Berard would be a good option for the Habs IMO. I would also prefer to sign Scott Walker than Mike Johnson.

My lines next year:

Higgins-Richards-Latendresse
Kostitsyn-Grabovski-UFA
Perezhogin-Plekanec-Walker
Bégin-Lapierre-UFA

Markov-Komisarek
Berard-Coburn
Streit-Bouillon/Dandenault

Huet
Halak

If the cap increases at 50M$, that would let us about 16M$ to sign a veteran presence for Kost and Grab and a true goon who can play hockey on the 4th line. Id Gillet is ready to go for the 50M$, the Habs could also make a pitch for a top d-man instead of Berard.

Just my two cents.

what would make me say there is 90% of rain would be dark clouds all arround and rain just upwind from us. That's what makes you say it's 90% rain. Lets forget this is about Eklund. What would make someon say that there is 60% chance something between A and B will happen is because something leads him to believe it. Now...if that's a comment on Eklund well it's an other thing...but your argument just did not make sense to me.

Out of curiosilty, has Eklund got one trade right?

I don't follow old picklehead's website at all. Has he nailed one of these trades, as even a rumour? Has he even mentioned Forsberg to Nashville, Stuart to Calgary etc?

Nope.
He always reports it after some other media did it.
He's saying like " See I mentionned it in my post #9213129312 " but it's all BS.

He did mention Foppa to Nashville, as well as 6-7 other teams. That's why he got that one "right".

I forget which one but he got one right this year. I remember being all impressed. It wasn't reported by anyone else either when he made a thread about it. They locked it... then 3 hours later the trade was done and was reopened.

Actually he had Nashville in the lead for Forsberg for days and had the trade before any other media outlet. Lets get our facts straight.

I remember he got the Heatley for Hossa one before anyone else, and that one was completely out of the blue, so I was a little impressed, but that was obviously a while ago. Not sure about any of the recent stuff though.

I really don't understand people's hatred of Eklund. He explicitely says that these are rumours he has heard. Just that - rumours.

If you don't like it, don't read it.

You ever wonder if he changes his posts after a trade has been done or he deletes certain posts that weren't even close?

He did predict Foppa out of Philly within 48 hours this week before the actual trade. He did mention that Foppa was at the Philly home rink and found it suspicious that he wasn't at the practive rink with the team and started saying something was up....he has some credabilty, the reason he is shot down so much is that he reports all his leads. If Bobby Mac, Dreger, Kypreos and others said as much as they heard they would be flamed too!

His sole job is the rumor mill, he isn't covering or reporting about hockey like the others...he is an internet rumor guy.

I think that guy Eklund might have a couple of source and that sometimes he may be able to predict some stuff. But most of the time he's just throwing out ideas like most poster on Hf do.

I'm not really a fan of Eklund but he reports what he hears. Although many of the rumors he mentions never pan out that doesn't mean that those trades weren't possibilities at one time. I'm sure there are plenty of talk about trades between GMs that never pan out. If nothing else Eklund gets people talking and is somewhat entertaining.
