I love the shootout im happy that they put that in. But i think the rule about going the goalies only going into the hexagon is soo gay. They should be able to play the puck. But i guess i can see why they did put that rule in so there will be more goals.

You mean Trapezoid? Yea it's a bit lame, but realistically Goalies still play the puck just as much. Shootout is kinda getting old, but at the same time ties are lame. I hate that teams get a point for losing in OT/SO a loss is a loss you shouldn't lose buy make up in the standings. Other than that i would like to see the Instigator crap get thrown out and i would like for players to pay the price for parking in front of the crease.

The game is much better. Its a return to skill being the Primary and not goon hockey of the 90's.

There was a time when even a player could NOT advance the puck with a forward pass. I can understand how the idea of restricting the goalies abilities with the transitional game was intended to help but invariably the goalie will increase the skill set and over come any intial advatage lost.

Now, if only the NHL would get rid of the fighting, following suit with all other professional sports. it would take adding an off ice reffing crew to police ANY infraction. Once all infractions do not go unpenalized, there is no real need for the fisticuffs.
