2 Canucks blockbusters

Ryan Kesler to Anaheim for: 1st, Vatanen and Smith-Pelly

Edler to Colorado for: Stastny + 1st

Anaheim are going for the cup. They have an opening at the 2c spot. They got Etem and Palmieri on the Rw as prospects so they can afford to move DSP. Vatanen has been dangled and is a young RHD. They got a very good D-corps so they might move him if it's worth it.

Canucks gets a 1st, a young, phsyical RW who is cost controlled. They also get a young PMD who has got great offensive instincts.

2nd trade.

Colorado improves their not so impressive D and gets a very good LHD that they can pair with Johnson.

Canucks gets yet another 1st rounder which is good since they need to restock their prospects IMO. Since the Sedin's and most of their core isn't getting younger.

They get an 2C back in Stastny who can step into Kesler's position. They get to compete for the playoffs and they get 2 1st rounders, 2 highly touted prospects who are NHL ready now. Vatanen can take Edler's spot on the PP. And they get a replacement C. They get younger basically. They moved Luongo and if they move Edler and Kesler they can resign Stastny.

Not enough for Kesler.

Not gambling a UFA for Edler.

Sure for the first deal. Which first are you talking about?
